It's a shame that high quality parts on the inside is no real indicator of high quality parts on the outside. With the amount of heat a 3080 generates an all metal body might conduct heat a little too well.. Whats the battery like on your MSI?

I think my expectations were probably a little too high. To be fair my Mac gets pretty loud when it struggles through Endless Space 2.

I got all my hardware setup, and created a nicehash account.. It keeps suggesting I download nicehash 2.x, but all of the link bring me back to the main page. I can get the AMD NHL, but I really would have preferred the simpler miner to get started on.. Any insights are again appreciated.

If it’s not transcoding a lot then I could see that working well. My server was originally built for UMS which is much more of a resource hog.

I run a dual opteron setup. For external I scale my media down to off set some issues with connectivity. That said your media and encoding traffic are unique so in short overkill for one dude is not quite enough for another.
