I sure hope they will begin including ample dedicated circuits for EV charging with new builds, and perhaps my faith in grid operators is misplaced in assuming that they see a freight train coming and are making preparations (investments) for said freight train for the next 10-20-30~ years...
Right, but solar is basically just prepaying for electricity.
I think it's stupid primarily because it's like putting your electric bill on your credit card and carrying a balance... Which is really stupid. California leadership is also fucking dumb.
I may or may not be a little familiar...
Man I went to sleep and missed a bunch... Also I charge on a standard 120V wall outlet exclusively just because I want people to know how ignorant they are. Granted if I drove longer distances each day I'd need to consider using my 16A@240V to halve my recharge time.
Basically not everyone...
My shitty 500e was $8,500, used of course, I've seen them as low as $4k~ on the wholesale market. I intend to drive the shit out of it as well, makes for an excellent commuter and grocery getter.
Lots of people are all to happy to buy shiny new things, which then end up on the used market and depreciate, ultimately ending up further down the ladder as a "cheap used car."
ICE manufacturers can't afford to move quickly regardless, Ford and GM for example have so much crippling debt and...
I think the main selling points include, but are not limited to: Longer lasting, cheaper to operate/maintain, near future cheaper to buy, total cost of ownership is already at parity or better, consistent power delivery, neato tuxedo features and doodads, almost never need to visit a refueling...
They've made tens of thousands of test cells, which are likely being quietly tested in things like the Semi and Model S Plaid.
This is way further along than is being "marketed" and that casual observers realize. Because reasons.
They're very likely going have Cybertrucks begin production at...
Mine's still doing things on good days.
For example, today was weak AF...
My average bill for 2018 was $64.25 and that's with charging the EV almost daily... My fuel/electricity offset between solar and EV is about $1,900/yr~
I suspect that numbers will improve as tech matures on all...
Everybody else is just so far behind at this point... The 2020's are going to be super interesting. The $35k Model 3 is sitting just under the Bolt and Kona.
I'd buy a used Bolt because it's kinda ugly, I wouldn't Mind a Kona they look decent and perform well from what I've seen...
XP was great. Then it became EOL and was no longer great. Software has to be kept patched and also current w/features... Windows 7 is great, but it will quickly become a high risk piece of software to keep using online...
I still want the one we can’t have...
I still wouldn’t consider the NISMO public consumption version, but I’d be slightly less sad to see that on the road versus the gen one...
Tesla is the only one seriously kicking ass and building forward.
