Maybe I found the issue, I have Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB with windows 10 installed, the ssd with linux mint is Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB Unhook the 500GB and the 120GB runs fine. I didn't know you couldn't run two drives with the same name even if their size is different

If I run lunux that is already installed on a eSATA drive wll it mess with my two Windows (WIn 10 & Win 11) that is on two other SSD's. I don't want to screw up those Windows drives thanks

Yeah on mine it was both power connection point on the board, edges was razor sharp. I thought my PSU cable were maybe bad because it was very hard to make the connection. I tried the cables (from psu) on another board and easily plugged in....I'm not calling the newer boards junk

I removed one of the partitions (529mb) but my attempt to backup the drive had errors (trying to give the unallocated space a drive letter. So only other options I had was to expand the recovery partition (now 1GB) and it remained at the beginning of the drive..

I have it backed up using reflect, but there was error with one of those partitions..I may remove one of those

I have a AMD Radeon HD 6670 no in my ASUS z97-ar MB..Looking for something about same or close to it. I don't game, ...fan is failing on mine

Thinking of upgrading to the above, right now using a Asus Z97-AR/ I5-4670k. Motherboard getting old still works fine. Haven't read up much on the Z590 are there many issues with this board? How much of bang if any should I expect if I go this route? thanks

All drives removed from computer...In the Bios only thing showing about Booting is Boot Priority Ubuntu

One last thing, using the F8 key is from the bios bbs , connect the linux drive up and using F8 key I can pick any drive I want to boot and it works or I can use grub menu and do the same..I still think that something went wrong with the liniux install and it did something to the asus bios..as...

Yes I did each drive one at a time

I tried to fix each drive/os individually that failed...starting to think if its possible that it did something in the bios ..I lost all my settings when this happen

I ran msconfig and check boot, nothing there that shouldn't be on both drives. Ran reflect backup and did the fix boot from a USB stick, deleted both partitions and ran restore with only one drive at a time connected. Still no go, pick the Windows 8 from the F8 key and boots to Win 10. Go to...

Thanks, are there a way I can fix this without using linux boot menu? I much rather use just the F8 to pick my OS You see when linux is not installed I can't pick any drive to boot from other than what in primary boot in bios even tho they are listed while using F8 key
