Well what would be the point in Sony releasing the PS5 with anything less powerful than a GTX 1080? The Xbox One X is already about as powerful as a GTX 1070.

Until you can show me something made by AMD that can compete with a GTX 1080 without consuming close to 500 watts, I call full on shenanigans to your post. You want to compare a 30w APU to a full blown next gen console GPU? LOL.

What about the graphics? I don’t think AMD can make anything competitive with any type of reasonable power consumption for a console.

If you read the link I posted it says they are using GTX 1070 chips for it. Maybe this will be a GTX 1060 Ti.

nVidia is telling people that only RTX "low" is optimized right now. They are working on fixing the higher settings. They are recommending using RTX "low" at this time. From nVidia:

I did a clean install of the new build on my laptop tonight. It went off without a hitch. It looks like MS *hopefully* got this right this time. Unfortunately there are no second chances when it comes to peoples' data if they did not keep a backup. I have a feeling we will see a class action...

They need to fix the DRM and also the way games are downloaded. Brutally slow downloads on the Windows store. Games also often need to be downloaded multiple times, if they work at all. Steam is just so much better in so many ways. I have to say, however, I am really enjoying my Xbox Game...

Do we have GPUs that can actually push more than 1440p resolution per eye? SLI is only supported in one VR game AFAIK.

Are there no software overclocking tools for this? Is the multiplier locked? If this thing could be unleashed there were CPUs like this selling for $3700USD about six months ago.

OP are you comparing a new RTX 2070 against a used GTX 1080 Ti? What about the RTX 2080? An RTX 2080 selling at MSRP shouldn't cost much more than a GTX 1080 Ti. And it will be a much better card overall.

What I am hearing is that it's 4% instead of the usual 2%. Not exactly the **** show that certain people would have you believe.

Could that not be a driver issue or a bug in the game? These cards are brand new and so is the game.

Either nVidia has shut down the studio so they can figure out what's going on in terms of QC, or else people are ready, willing, and able to pay $1000+ for a GPU. I lean toward the latter being true and that means it's a sad day for gaming, IMO.

Yes, however they have an on-die cache that makes them perform closer to a Radeon 7850. Similar performance to a GTX 1050.
