Looks like it would be: $1,065.90
ThinkPad x240 with:
- extended battery
- core i7 4600u 4mb 3.3ghz
- win 8 (Pro add $50)
Would need to upgrade:
- 8gb single stick of RAM (only has 1 slot) - ~75 on amazon

Also, for $150 there is a 2 year apocalypse type warranty...
I have a DSLR and a GoPro that I will be photo/video editing. Otherwise I run a business online - writing, compiling interview audio/video.
Will probably be carrying it on my back and using it unplugged frequently.

Thanks for the recommendations on the video editing, I will have to look into it some more...

If I'm missing out on something very useful for an extra $100-150 then I can stretch that. I would like it to best...
I'll be shooting on my GoPro and iPhone for the most part. Mostly videos fit for display on YouTube that are 10 minutes or less. I would like to upgrade my monitor yes.
My current laptop can't play videos from my GoPro filmed at 1080p 60fps which will be the most common that I'll film in most...
Howdy all,
Thanks for taking the time to help out.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Budget around $650...
