This goes much deeper than just Epic's whining about Apple taking a huge cut. Apple is blocking apps for no other reason than it competes with their own products or services.
Remember when Microsoft wasn't even allowed to bundle their own fucking internet browser with windows anymore? It...
No, it's good news. Goal is to display the best possible image quality at a resolution our rigs can actually handle (See Pimax). The resolution this thing will have along with the rumored index lenses sounds as though they'll offer a very high quality experience.
I trust in Valve that this...
Maybe nVidia needs to take a closer look at their pricing model.. As it stands if all most people can afford are mainstream shitty cards that cost the same amount as a console, well, people are just going to buy consoles.
A number of reasons. They seem more focused on mobile than PC. Lucky getting fired over his political views (which I don't like no matter what side you are on). Now Irbe leaving.
I'm pretty sure my next headset will be the one coming from Valve, directly. That's the one worth waiting for...
About time. You know damn well a lot of those people give stellar reviews so that vendors keep sending them free shit.
I don't think I've ever seen a negative review from one of those "top ** reviewer"...
Just built myself a new system and got a few things from Newegg myself. Not gonna sweat it. I'll just keep an eye on my statement. Anything funny shows up, and simple call to the credit card company will clear it up.
You need modules specifically for Ryzen. Don't know why, but that's just the case. Lots of incompatibility problems with RAM that isn't. One of the reasons why I chose the Flare X, it just works good with Ryzen.
No, not really. Lucky is a pretty straight up guy and wants nothing more than to see VR / AR succeed. If my memory is correct, he didn't have anything bad to say about Vive when it came out while he was still involved with Oculus. I think he might have even called it "super cool". No reason...
So far, so good. I'm digging this board, it just seems to check all the boxes for me. BIOS is clean, updated it before I even loaded windows (to 4018) with the EZ update utility baked right into the BIOS, which connected to the Internet and downloaded it for me. Went without a hitch.
Ya, when I was researching it I was coming across complaints about VRM's on that chipset (B350). I was very tempted with B450 though, but like I said in my previous post, I wasn't willing to make the dive without an [H] stamp of approval.
Cool! Be sure to share your experiences with the board and platform.
I was too chicken since no [H] review, didn't want to risk limiting any overclocking potential. I've always wanted to do a mATX build though.
Any Strix X470-F owners out there?
Just bought the board along with a 2700X, and prepping for the build.
No [H] review on it unfortunately, but decided to give it a shot anyways.
Asus Strix X470-F
AMD Ryzen 2700X
G.Skill Flare X 3200 16G (2x8)
Samsung 970 Pro 512GB
Sad but true, along with all the click bait for no other reason than to generate add revenue.
Time for me to get a Patreon account..
I wouldn't hold it against you for signing it Kyle. I haven't read the NDA. If there isn't anything in there too draconian that could limit your journalist...
Ah, I see what you mean. The top ones too actually.
Been researching that case a little more. Sounds like those glass panels are restricting air flow too much. I'm back to the drawing board.. maybe stick go with Air 240 instead.
Too bad no [H] review on it.. <wink> <wink> <nudge> <nudge>
I wasn't actually planning on running multi-gpu. Was just pointing out specs on the board. Good catch though.
True, but don't care :) I was originally going to go the Air 240 route, until I saw the 280x. Currently housed in an Air 540, but want to go smaller for my next build. Not sure...
I just really don't get it. A person can get a really awesome mini-ITX board in X470. There's no reason why they can't offer a mATX.
Kyle, any chance you guys could run this thing through it's paces?
It sounds good on paper. Decent...
I'm actually considering the MSI Mortar Titanium.
Primarily because the X470 chipset does not have a mATX board, which is super annoying. But alas, the B450 will do.
