From what I've seen, Broadwell-E "will be compatible with current generation X99 motherboards that feature the LGA 2011-v3 socket." (Citing reference)
I've been tossing around the idea too, but might wait for more data. Those prices on the 5820K and 5930K at Microcenter are pretty tempting...
Thought this was a pretty good deal: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case CC-9011030-WW - Black for $100.99

Not sure it's enough to justify upgrading from my i7-2600K either. I think I'll spend the money on new pipes for one of the bikes instead. Will see what things look like next year with DX12 and such.
Hey! I'm a lefty on the guitar. :P Right-handed with the pen. Makes sense to have the hand with the most dexterity on the frets doesn't it?
On topic: Nothing enticing so far from Amazon. Will have to listen to some prime music for an extra chance to lose.
I ordered the XBOne MCC bundle on 6/28. From the looks of it, I got in on it just in time. Tried to pick it up from a MS b&m, but they were out of AC-U and told me that I'd be SOL. I ended up ordering the bundle from the MS online store on my phone while I was in the b&m and the online store...
I gave in to myself and ordered a UN40JU7500 from the Newegg ebay page for $1,197.99. Might have it Tuesday of next week (05/19). Should make my 290X work a bit harder.
Maybe a cardboard mock-up would help you get a feeling for the massive span that three of these side-by-side would have.
Dimensions (Without Stand):
Height: 372 mm (14.65")
Width: 824.7 mm (32.47")
Depth: 73.3 mm (3.00")
I found a code listed this morning from ExtremeTech, but it looks like may have only been good for yesterday... I tried the Dell Advantage too, but only got a whopping 10 cents off. Oooooo! Big savings...
It will be missing at least one thing that we all want. I think companies purposely design stuff that way sometimes. On the other hand, maybe I'll be surprised.
I'm not sure about other phones that support all carriers like the N6 does, but T-Mobile does have a Cyber Monday $48 off deal on both the 32GB ($601.99) and 64GB ($651.99) if that's any consolation. This page from TMo says 32GB wait is 10-14 days and 64GB is 6-8 weeks.
I'm not sure that I'm of the demographic that I believe Beats to be targeting. I have no fondness of thick gold chains, 21" rims or obnoxiously large and gaudy diamond earrings.
I ended up ordering one through Staples. A bit more expensive and had to pay tax, but I'll have it Tuesday.
Edit: Ordered this from Staples yesterday (10/16) and chose to have it shipped to store. Received an email this morning that it shipped from warehouse with an expected arrival of Tuesday...
I like the 27" 2560x1440 for a good, all-around display.
Haven't tried a 4K (God, I hate that term...) 2160p display yet. I think a 35" would be the sweet spot for me as the PPI (121.17) would be reasonably close to a 27" 1440p. I've just ordered the LG 34" 3440x1440 for work. Should have it...
Saw on Slickdeals that some people were getting the 2012 version (5600 dpi) and others the 2014 (8200 dpi). Looks like I got two 2014 versions. Did anyone here get 2012s?
Was just able to order a couple from the Walmarts near work. It's kind of in the hood, so I expect their inventory to be screwed up, but we'll see what happens.
Edit: Local Wallymart cancelled one of the two that I ordered. Just picked up the other one without a hitch. Even felt better about...
Damn, that's harsh. I saw the OP message just before I left work yesterday. On the website, the GameStop closest to work had limited stock, but the one near home showed "in stock," so figured that I'd be good for the hour or so it took to get home.
I got there and asked the dude for a copy...
I hate that corporate US mentality that we have to buy the devices from the carriers rather than direct from the manufacturers. It's just so they can force-feed bloatware and partner crap to their customers and then probably sell your use habits and data back.
Could you imagine if we were...
