I bought my first PC two years after the original System Shock was released, so I missed it the first time around. However, having heard it spoken in such reverential tones for the past nearly 30 years, I was really looking forward to trying it.
Granted, it feels very much like a 90s game, but...
What a shame, I was really looking forward to this. I'm glad I can sample this on Game Pass, but still going to wait until they roll out some fixes and people report that it's better.
Guess I'll try it after I finish Crysis 2 just to see what it looks like.
They sure are taking their time with Crysis 4 as Crysis 3 came out 10 years ago! 😠
Started playing this again and it looks great! Granted, some areas you can spot that it's a 12 year-old game, but for the most part the 4K remaster works very well.
Gameplay is just as fun as I remember, and it's so satisfying using the Nanosuit's abilities to massacre the military in all...
I'm definitely Team Days Gone. I loved the gameplay, story and incredibly realistic Oregon environments. However, all the parkour crap in Dying Light completely ruined the game for me.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition Is Much More Than Just a Visual Upgrade

Ouch! $60 is pretty steep for a four year-old game, even with the enhancements. My only worry is that I hope their remastering of this one didn't lengthen the development of the sequel. I'm ready to play Outer Worlds 2 now!
That's really odd. When it first came out in 2019, I played it on an overclocked i7-3770 and never had any of those issues. Of course, it runs much better on my current rig, but I never had any game play problems even when it was new.
Glad I tried this on Game Pass instead of shelling out $60 for it. It's just too frustrating for me to enjoy it. Half the time my jumps from ledges don't work and a couple times I got stuck in areas and literally couldn't move! I had to exit the game and reload. The last time it obliterated...
Just finished Wonderlands and started in on High on Life, but it didn't really grab me, so I decided to Game Pass Atomic Heart. Glad I did, as the graphics and gameplay are really solid. However, I certainly understand everyone's frustration at all the annoying conversations between the main...
Atomic Heart has gone gold, so there should be no more delays *cough* The Day Before *cough* and be out on February 21st!

PC Gamer has an interesting list of their Top 16 FPS Games for this year. I know just about everyone is looking forward to Atomic Heart, but there were several on here that I wasn't aware of like The Finals and Redfall.

It's showing a February 20th release date so I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic. I desperately want to be excited for this game, but I've been so disappointed in the past that I don't want to get my hopes up until I can actually play it!
Despite the negative reviews, High on Life is now the most popular thing on Xbox Game Pass for PC and consoles: https://www.eurogamer.net/high-on-life-is-now-the-most-popular-thing-on-xbox-game-pass
Late to the party, but finally picked this on a pre-Black Friday sale for $30. Played about an hour last night and am loving it. I'm going to wait until I finish it before I decide whether to purchase the Season Pass or not. I'm off Friday for Veteran's Day so I plan to spend some quality time...
I didn't like Infinite as much as the first two, but still enjoyed them all, even the recent remasters. So, I'm definitely looking forward to the new one.
I tried this today but it is just too retro for even my tastes, and I grew up playing the original Doom, etc. The overly pixelized weapons and environoments is just too distracting. It's so jagged I feel like it's going to poke my eyes out! Otherwise, I like the speed of the gameplay.
I dropped to Ultra at 2560x1600 and with DLSS am getting 60 FPS. It's not quite as detailed but still looks pretty good.
I'm surprised not more people are talking/playing this game, it's really quite good aside from the frustrating nature of the boss battles. I've maxxed out some of my...
Yes, I didn't think it had DLSS either, but I found it under the Upscaling option.
Unfortunately, even setting it to Performance made virtually no improvement in the FPS at 4K Ultra as evidenced by the framerate counter in the upper right hand corner.
Have got a couple hours into this and am enjoying it, but it's really taxing as I had to lower everything to Medium at 4K to get around 60 FPS. At Ultra, I was seeing 30 FPS and High was just 40 FPS. Otherwise, it's fun but difficult as just a couple swipes from the enemy robots will kill you...
The controls will make or break this game for me. I'm personally worried about how well the web-swinging is implemented. If it's poorly done, I won't play it more than 5 minutes.
