I don't have any problems with my setup. But I really only play the COD series. But I can play them at 1920x1200 with everything on the highest settings.
got it working.
1. http://www.makemkv.com/ to make my MKV's
2. http://haali.su/mkv/ to allow Media Center to play MKV's
3. My Movies for the cover art.
I will have to check out Media Browser.
Thanks, I will give that a shot.
But before I read your post, I was using DVDFab ripping just the main movie. Using My Movies to create the cover art. And Total Media to play them within MC. It seemed to work well.
I have tried it both ways. With FPS, portrait mode is huge, but I notice the bezels on my 24"
But in landscape I never noticed them. And thats the way I have kept them.

I normally Rip my DVD's with DVDFab then I can watch them with Media Center.
What is the easiest way to do the same with Blu Ray?? And get the Cover Art?
Thats what I thought. I may have to go that route with a IR receiver and the Harmony.
I wonder if you can run a second monitor on the second DVI port of the video card??
Hmm... never thought about RDP. I do have a older Pentium machine. Just hook up an ELO :)
I saw the Harmony. Good looking unit, just not sure its the way I want to go. Don't you need a remote for it to work?
I envision a unit with a touchscreen what would control the MC.
I was searching hoping for a good answer but...
I am building my first HTPC on Windows 7 using Media Center.
What is a great controller to use? I am looking for something better than just a remote.
Maybe a touch screen?? Anyway to have a remote screen?
All my movies are new releases. I already have over 400 in movies from BB.
I recently switched to Netflix because they closed down my local BB and I could stream from Netflix for free.
But lately all my new releases are all long waits. And hearing this, I just switched back to BB and every...
I tried my 24" in both landscape and portrait.
Portrait is huge. But I notice the bezels alot more. With 30" this would be the way I would probably run it.

But in landscape. I never notice the bezels. Which is the way I am running it now...
I run the Apple Adapter and I have not noticed any blinking at all. I have been playing MW2 since it came out in 5670 x 1920.
The only issue I have seen is the monitor connected to the Display-Port will sometimes not turn on after a reboot or the resolution will change to a lower one...
The sound is pretty good. Positioning is good, I can still hear tangos behind me.
I still wish there wasa bit more impact when firing a large caliber weapon like the 50 cal.
But since I upgraded my sound system to a decent 7.1 system, I feel like I am in the game. :)
Only in landscape mode. I had to switch to portrait. Widescreenfixer should have a fix for it soon, I hope.
