How does the CX 48 work on PC at 1440p? I think i'd rather the FPS instead of the quality boost. But i'd have to test both settings to see if I even notice a difference.

I suppose that makes sense. I'd only be 3-3 1/2' feet away while using my PC. 5-6 feet while gaming. 48" does seem to make for a better fit. Just seems silly to buy smaller for no reason!

No, sorry. I mean when you're in the middle of combat with someone and you land the "final blow". Pretty much everyone from 1-4 (and all the spinoffs) had sweet animations for the kill shot.

I have the same complaints! I hate the fighting system too. No gruesome kill shots like the other games. I was really expecting some awesome animations. I stopped playing about 3-4 hours in.

I know what you mean by everything being different. But my brain just tells me if out of the box is 75% accurate. Post calibration is 95% accurate. Then even if it's off cuz of the setting/panel being totally different... it's still an improvement. I didn't know that only certain applications...

They were straight from the manufacturer. My first changes from the ICC profiles. hahaha!

Rtings.com has an ICC profile for my G7 and LG. I loaded both of them into the appropriate monitor profiles. Hit "set as default" and then apply. But there's no visible difference. Is there another step I am missing?

Well, I got the G7. It's incredible. The colors out of the box are gorgeous. Smooth as silk and I love the vertical real estate. Gaming is a noticeable improvement too. 120fps on Cold War is incredibly smooth. I love it!

I go 3.5mm from PC to back of speaker. Then RCA connects the two together. There's a RCA hookup on the same speaker I use the 3.5mm on. It says "high output" on there. I figured it couldn't be a bad thing and wanted to see what I would get out of that.

So it sounds like I should keep it at 8bit/160hz since it's primarily a gaming monitor. I play mostly new games, so they support HDR. But this monitor in particular doesn't have great HDR support.

Why leave the monitor at 144hz? Is there a benefit to the 144hz 10bit over the 160hz 8bit? Considering you just mentioning noticing no difference between 8 and 10 bit

LG 34GP83A That's the monitor I have. I can run 144hz and 10bit I can run 160hz and 8bit My gaming never sees 144fps let alone 160fps. Is there any reason to leave it at 160hz and 8bit over 144hz and 10bit?
