Had to trim the thermalright backplate so I could use it with a ROG X570i without taking off the back VRM heatspreader. It will all be done tomorrow and should have pictures up in SFF then. Might post pictures here too if yall want.

Well I have finally gotten around to starting the build and yes I do realize it is a bad idea to build when the new stuff is right around the corner buuuuuuuuuuuut I don't care. Couldn't find any mounts for fans for this thing anymore but that's nothing a few zip ties can't fix!

I don't even know where I bought it but the safe bet is Frozencpu lol. Doesn't matter the bracket is only like $15 so I already bought it and just wanted to be sure it wouldn't be silly to use such an old cooler.

I should have said my plan is a 5950x and some Thermaltake Quad Ring 120mm RGB fans to cool it. Might not be ideal for overclocking, I haven't overclocked since the Gulftown days anyways, but I just want to be sure it stays cool.

I just installed the 11.6 rst drivers and trim seems to have taken care of most of it instantly. Trim shouldn't be working but it seems to be on my Z68, I wont complain.

I honestly wouldn't go any older than an 8000 series. That way you still get gpu acceleration of video and flash playback. is it xp 64bit or 32?
