I've been wondering how DLSS 2.0 looks on this display, I only have a 1070, so I can't test it myself. As far as I understand it is more likely to be a bit blurry at 1440p resolutions than at 4K.

Can anyone confirm?

After I bought my G9 Odyssey monitor, I've been contemplating an upgrade as well, possibly a 3080 to replace my 1070, and running it on my 5820K, and as the resolution is close to 4K I doubt I will be severly CPU limited, although the minimums could take a dip.
Very happy with the monitor, currently only running 120hz 8-bit on my GTX 1070, as it doesn't support DSC. I will probably get a RTX 3080 or 6800XT in the new year depending if AMD will fix their drivers for the monitor. I have the latest drivers and firmware (1008.1) and do see flickering with...
Nope, waiting for 2022 for upgrades as I only have time for computing ~2h a week, and I mainly play older games. Also my 5820k runs fine, and I'm very happy I bought a 5820K instead of a 4790k.
The X35, Asus PG35VQ and the AG353UCG has all the features wanted, 200hz, 1440p UW, HDR1000, but the price though.... Hopefully they will launch new monitors that supports hdmi 2.1 or dp2.0 so 200Hz 4:4:4 10-bit will be possible. Maybe in 2022.....
The extra cost is more about extra features and better pwm. So if you don't plan on o/c or need the extra features don't waste money on a more expensive board. Since most in here do some o/c and wants better features, then they buy more expensive boards in the middle group, a few do extreme o/c...
You can always turn your graphics down to console levels, or render at lower resolutions and upscale just like consoles. The good thing about PC gaming is that you can choose exactly how much you are willing to spend and how you want your system to perform. If you have lost your interest in...
Optane Dimm is already happening.
For the average consumer Optane need some competition to drive prices down. Also the the limits of pcie3 x4 is only at sequential or very high qd. It is by no means the limiting factor at low qd and random r/w.
Most people (me included) have not read the final paper, and tends to listen to those who argue against the law, based on what the commission proposed. Lots have changed the last two years, so before signing on to the "end of the internet" maybe read the paper....
Just a short recap of how the...
So for the RTX 3xxx cards would you prefer that more silicon are used on RT cores or shader/compute power?
Would doubling the performance of the RT cores also result in doubling the fps?
Extremely slow adaption of HDR displays and games that supports it.
Next to nothing in CPU singlecore performance.
Optane only launched as niche products with too small capacity or too expensive
GPU's first bought by all the miners, then launch new very expensive cards, where the main selling...
If they have the technology, they can run the cards faster and they can get same or more profit from each card, then it is win win for amd and the customers, but it is not very exciting.
In my last attempt to install a free pdf reader from the store it took over 2 hours on two computers as they both threw me a "something is wrong in our end try again later"
The store is the same top notch quality as a supermarket in the former East Germany.
