It's been awhile since i've been here on the forums but it's upgrade time again and I have some stuff to sell!
I have a pair of MSI Hawk Geforce GTX 460 1GB graphics cards that will soon need to go to a good home. Both cards function perfectly and have been running SLI'd in the system listed...
I have a PC-X1000 and my case has had an occasional rattle from the side panels. What I did was buy some circular felt adhesive pads and place them on the mating surfaces between the panel and chassis where I thought the vibrations were coming from. No more rattles, but the case still had an...
I have for sale a pair of Gigabyte GTX460 1GB cards. They were purchsed from Newegg in October and were used for around 1.5 months. I replaced them with a pair of MSI 460 Hawk cards which I received as a gift on Xmas, so I no longer need these.
They run at 715/1430/1800 MHz stock. They also...
I'm just kidding of course. I have many female friends who like the Twilight universe whom I pick on from time to time - it's all in good fun. In turn they think I am crazy when I tell them I spent $300 on a motherboard or $360 for a pair of gfx cards. So I most wholeheartedly agree with...
Pretty expensive considering the only good use for the disc is as a drink coaster. I'll pass and continue to use the mountain of AOL CD's i've accumulated over the years.
Here is a review chart from Frostytech that has performance for both parts listed:

Performance with both is (according to the review) pretty darn close.
I think the temp sensors are integrated on the CPU die, so the MB is probably not at fault. Maybe your HSF's heat pipes are shot? Check to see if the heat pipes/cooling fins are getting warm under load - if not, they are not doing their job properly.
Can you describe the flickering? If it's a blue-green color switching that flickers on and off only during 3D apps that use SLI then it's most likely caused by the SLI bridge ribbon cable being loose. I had the same issue with my 460 setup - all I did was re-seat the cable and all was well. You...
With respect to the one card per household rebate stipulation, is there a quick and easy way to bypass newegg's ordering system and buy two? Maybe have one sent to my brother's house and pay with a different credit card?
I'd do that but i'm afraid that the new one will have issues. The one I have now is just fine, no dead pixels and just a slight bit of blue tint in the bottom left corner. Knowing my luck, the new one will have a dozen dead pixels and have tinting issues that would make a rainbow look monochrome.
Not completely - not for me at least. I have a bit of green/blue tint in the lower left corner, but it isn't nearly as bad as some others I have seen. I am leaning towards keeping it, mainly because I have no light bleed and no dead pixels. Other than the bit of blue/green tint mine is pretty...
I had a $350 Dell credit to use but I didn't have the extra money for the u2711, which was still $1099. I got the u2410 for only $205 USD - the u2711 would have run me $710 or so after tax and shipping. The $500 difference i would have had to pay is IMO better used for other more important stuff.
I sent a Rampage III Formula back to Newegg a month or so ago, so one of these boards is prolly one I sent back. The board had a wicked warp to it - wouldn't sit flat on a table, much less in the case. Worked just fine, but I was afraid of having issues down the road. Second one was flat as a board.
Yes, A04. I was expecting to get an A02 or even an A03, but evidently they thought I was special enough to get the mythical A04 revision! I mean, it's an A04 so all the problems that the u2410 has had since its release are all magically gone...right?
My u2410 arrived yesterday. Rev A04, made in December 2010 (fresh off the assembly line evidently). No dead pixels or backlight bleed, but there is a tiny bit of blue tinting in the lower left corner. It is very slight and not noticeable unless you really look for it with a white or grey...
I have a Cogage True Spirit on my i7-930 @ 4GHz and I have seen maybe a 1-2 degree drop in temps after I added a second fan (two Scythe Slipstream 120mm PWM 1300rpm fans). I have great case airflow, so that may be the key to my great temps. Granted it is realtively cool here, but when the summer...
For a gamer/web surfer who has no need for color accuracy the u2410 is a very good choice, albeit a relatively expensive and unnecessary one. For the price of the 24-inch u2410 (or even cheaper) you can get a 1080p 27-28" TN-based LCD that will have less input lag, approximately the same...
The only reason I ordered a u2410 was because of the $350 Dell certificate I purchased with my AMEX card and the 10% off coupon that recently expired. Otherwise, I was looking at a cheaper monitor like the TN-based 27" Asus VK278Q. I have to wait for my 2410 (oos at the moment), but for $205...
I'm using a Cogage True Spirit with a push-pull setup. Push-pull doesn't really do much in my setup, maybe 1-2C drop in temps. I had two 120mm fans sitting around, so I figured what the heck :-)
I have an x1000 with a Rampage III Formula and I am running at a stable 4GHz (@1.25V, 40C idle/65C max CPU temp) using 1600MHz memory though as opposed to your 1333; hopefully you can do the same. I'm planning on doing the same red and black color scheme. I just have to buy the windowed side...
I placed my order for a u2410 on the 30th. Hasn't shipped as of today and called customer service only to find out that they are on a 3-5 week backorder.
I didn't have anything in place when they installed my FIOS. I had DSL before that - got my 'net over the 40 year old copper phone line. I was able to make the choice then and there and ran some ethernet to my home office.
