I'm really surprised a hard release date doesn't exist as well as pre-orders considering September is two weeks away. The only reason I'm holding up on pre-ordering Space Marine is because of this game.
Setting aside your anecdotal evidence, where's your proof? Those of us who think that Rift is doing fine at least have a statement from Trion to go on. What do you have?
You won't have your box copy in hand when headstart begins. Everyone who bought a box copy and plans to play during headstart will be downloading SWTOR along with those of us who bought digital copies. :D Enjoy!
My interest is slowly dwindling. I think the entire genre is losing my interest due to the demands of my adult llife. I just don't have the time to sink into an mmo anymore.
I see this as more of a blow to console gamers than PC gamers. The used PC game scene has been essentially dead for quite some time now. So, to you console gamers I have this to say "HAHA".
I still play a bit. Not as much as before, but still a few hours a week.
I've always wanted assassin to work in PVP, but it just doesn't unless you're P6 with all the gear. I switched to a markmans/ranger/inf build and it works well enough. I just get torn up to quickly and easily if I'm in...
From a PVP perspective, I like how they're handling CC immunity. The way Trion handles diminishing returns in Rift makes PVP hell for melee classes. I swear, all I ever see on my warrior when I leg sweep is 'immune'.
Based off the conference call recently where it was stated "We are officially moving the expected ship date of SWTOR from September to November" I'd say it's a safe bet that it will be released in November.
Yeah, you could really see the potential WAR had. Had it worked, had they built more of a virtual Old World, instead of a linear game that had nothing but broken RvR as the endgame, it could have been a hit. It's sad that Mythic dicked it up so badly. I loved my Chosen.
