The game does not look great but it runs insanely good as for as the framerate in general goes. At 5k 60 fps I was only using about 150-160 watts on my 4090 so it seems pretty well optimized. There are games that dont look much better but run WAY worse even at 4k than this does at 5k. That said...
You should be embarrassed for posting such a load of BS. The 3060 TI is actually faster than the new 4060 TI in some cases yet you are reaching so hard to make this card not sound like the absolute piece of crap that it actually is for 400 bucks. And even going by your thought process that...
And maybe somebody's already mentioned this but I'm guessing the typical user that has a 1080p monitor and is looking at a 60 class card probably only has 16 gigs of system ram which means running out of VRAM is going to be even more of an issue for them. Go look closely at some of the detailed...
Exactly. The 60 class cards over the last few generations were touted as also 1440p cards now here we are with a 60 class ti "1080p" card where in some games you need to turn down settings even at that low res. The card is a goddamn failure at that price and these clowns need to stop making...
And it's already compromised at just 1080p in a couple of games with just 8 gigs of VRAM. Absolutely a stupid ridiculous card for that price. This card needs to be a minimum of 20 to 25% faster and have at least 10 or 12 gigs of VRAM to justify $400 price point.
You pretty much have to be a disingenuous shill to find anything positive with this card for this price. It's slower than the goddamn 3060 TI in some cases so it's literally a downgrade at times. This card makes no sense for hardly anyone except those that are running really outdated old cards...
It's laughable at the mental gymnastics some people are going through to defend garbage products. The regular 4070 should have been the 4060 TI as that would have offered about a 45% increase over the 3060 TI and been an actual upgrade. FFS the 4060 TI we got actually loses to the 3060 TI in...
Are you talking about the 4060 or the 4060 TI ? The TI will crap all over either one of those cards and would be a pretty big upgrade for 1440p. That said, I don't think it's enough for the demanding modern games though and a 4070 should probably be the minimum someone should consider for 1440p.
So the 4060 TI is only 15% faster than the 3060 TI? What an utter piece of crap. And then the plain 4060 with its pathetic 3,072 cores has no business being anything other than a 50 class card.
Do you think we were too stupid to tell the difference between "play" and "update"? AGAIN the game said "play" for many of us and the update did not show up until restarting the app a couple of times. We could just click play and play the game as normal and this was clearly mentioned here by...
Surely you know you can go to one of the many reliable key sites? Plus if you look around people are selling the codes that came with their AMD hardware sometimes for only 30 to 35 bucks.

So the key from GMG will show up as a pre order key when you activate it on Steam?
I started the EA app up at nearly 9 PM and it did not show the update for me. I could just hit the play button like LurkerLito said. I then restarted the app after a while and the update finally showed up. And then as I said earlier it would only go to 12% and just stick there no matter how many...
I was finally able to get the damn update to fully download after clearing the cache in the EA app.
Select the three dashes in the far-left corner of the EA app
Scroll to Help
Click App recovery
Select Clear cache
I have been trying for over an hour to download the update. It just goes to 12% and then stops. Cancelling it just repeats the issue.
EDIT: I see some others on the Steam forums are also having update download issues.
Digital foundry had a video showing disabling the efficiency cores does absolutely zero to change stuttering and hitching. And my testing mirrors that experience showing absolutely zero difference as far as drops and stutters go. I have seen literally only two people claim it makes any...
No one should be surprised. I knew this would be an issue considering how the first game runs. It seems to be damn near impossible to make any unreal engine game run without at least some hitching or stuttering. Go look at the Callisto protocol as the patch that came out a while back...
FFS this patch is 49 GB.
Anyway my experience playing the game to completion on the previous patch was not bad at all from a performance standpoint but the game had lots of little technical issues. As I mentioned earlier in this thread the textures appear downgraded on that previous patch as...
Well Fallen Order is by probably the most stuttery game I have ever played. Some areas are just loaded with spot after spot that triggers a hitch or even occasionally a large stutter.
How can that fix that in this game when they never did fix it in the first game? Heck probably 75% of UE games have those type of hitches to some degree.
It says improving performance with efficiency cores. Digital Foundry found only a very small over performance difference but no stuttering difference at all. I believe the two people in this thread claimed the game was stuttering way more while using the efficiency cores. So far there is not...
No, he's one of the last people around here that I would think is full of it. I just want to see actual proof that it's an issue on his system because it certainly isn't in any of the reviews of the game or in my own testing either.
Can you actually do a benchmark with a frame time graph with them on and then off? Again, I tested it and there is absolutely no difference in smoothness or FPS drops. If you are on completely uncapped frame rates there's maybe a three or four percent overall FPS difference and that is it. And...
There is zero reason to do that now. Maybe before that patch that came out right after the release it was an issue but after the patch that does not help at all. I've already tested them on and off and there's practically zero difference. There is absolutely no difference in smoothness...
I'm not finding the graphics all that impressive for a so-called next-gen game. In fact, the whole opening sequence does not look the least bit next gen to me.
And by the way, I finally got around to testing it with and without the efficiency cores and it made practically zero difference. I'd...
I played about 30 minutes and seems fine for the most part. Playing at epic settings 4k without ray tracing 60 fps with vsync and there were lots of little 1-2 fps drops and only a few drops that were any worse. To be clear none of the drops had anything to do with my system being taxed and they...
Occasionally it just shows up blank for me. I have to close and restart it for the store and all my games to show up. Also people have been complaining ever since it came out about how stuttery and sluggish it is. If you try to drag the window around, it will make you think you have your monitor...
So you went through everything I said and took that part out of context. Congratulations. What I was calling nonsense was the fact that a couple people gave me the impression that it's business as usual to still have problems with efficiency cores in several games and that maybe it would be...
And I don't know how many times I have to say the same thing over and over. Again, over the last few months I looked at numerous current up-to-date comparisons of running with and without the efficiency cores. Yes they might have missed a game that's supposedly does have stuttering issues but in...
Or you can maybe grow up and realize somebody else has a different opinion than yours. But you two keep jerking each other off and seem to be enjoying it so why stop now?
The fact that after three times I've asked you to tell me how old that list is and you won't just shows me that is an outdated list but yet you're going to keep hammering on. So I'll say yet again when I did my research every single game on Windows 11 was supposed to be supported. Months before...
And I asked you how old that list was and you still can't answer. When I did research before getting my 13700k it was shown that officially there was not any games that were not supposed to have support.
I clearly said over and over and over that as of now every single current in-depth review has shown that it is more beneficial to have the efficiency cores on. I've also said that officially in the current state there are no games that are supposed to have issues on Windows 11. You keep posting...
Help me? I haven't asked for help with anything. And I noticed how you ignored the simple question of how old is that list. That's because you know that list has been updated and there is officially no games that aren't supposed to work in windows 11 with efficiency cores.
And how old is that list? Last time I looked they said every single game is compatible with efficiency cores on Windows 11. In fact, that was one of the things I researched before I decided to fool with going with the CPU like a 13700k instead of an AMD CPU. I've been playing games for months...
If I have to disable part of my hardware for a game to function properly then that goddamn game is broken. And later when I get home I will link to a couple of videos that show overall, it is much better to have those efficiency cores enabled for gaming. And in both of the videos that I will...
