This is definitely kind of old school. Save Often....Like i have to get my mindset back to a older time of gaming. So much progress lost because I would just forget to do it.
they definitely did this right. its a perfect way to take the old game, make it look and player better but not lose any...
I started playing like 4 games recently-ish, high on life, hogwarts, atomic heart, and war thunder.
Every day now I just never touch anything but I sit there and think about it on and off for hours.
I end up playing Doom/Doom2/Heretic instead.
even 10gb is starting to be an issue. I feel at this point you need 16gb or more to at least future proof yourself a bit. I'm sitting on a 10gb 3080 and I'm really wanting to upgrade just to get more vram.
there are some dumb people in tech. I work in tech, i get to see the data from the quarterly phishing tests we do and you would be amazed how many people, in tech, that should know better actually fail it.
I've had one CPU partially die on me over the years, i7 920 and it started having one of the cores go bad. It was overclocked to like 4ghz and on 24/7 for like 7 years before that happened. longest running CPU i ever had in my main machine without having to upgrade.
i can't even get into windows to do that.
Bios settings for me to be able to find a drive at all.
Windows OS config needs to be CSM and the boot needs to be Legacy + UEFI or there are no drives detected.
This is a weird one and I don't know what to do about it.
I updated my bios not long ago so I could install a 5800x3d. After I did that the motherboard should show no boot devices unless I turned off some UEFI setting in the bios. Soon as I did that it would find all my devices and I could boot...
My first 3d accelerated game, rage pro 3d card. Will never forget. This would be awesome.
Old ganes with facelifts that keeo thenold gameplay i am all for.
uggg. I hate that kind of stuff. Even the idea of having to collect ingredients to make things turns me off. Like crafting in Skyrim/fallout/etc. Never did any of it.
thanks I played a round a bit. seems better now. I think the actual problem was when the game needed to load in a new area it would just tank for like 15 seconds.
Its all over for me even with RT off. Its fine for a bit, then tanks to single digits for a bit. Game is using 15gb of ram and lime 9gb of vram c9nstantly. I may have to lower stuff. Riggt now im on ultra everythonf woth RT off at 1080. the game set those settings for me.
With some linux help i can try this.
This is a well done game so far. Performance with RT enables is brutal thoiugh even at 1080 on my 3080 10gb.
Performance tanks to like songle digits at times even in a conversation
