I just tried the Quadro 2000M from my Lenovo Thinkstation in the HP Z820 and it works fine. I normally have a GTX 1070 in the HP. Hope HP tech support gets things get sorted out for you.

That's weird. I have an HP Z820 and I've swapped a few cards on it. The HP workstations have 6-pin molex power cables. You will need a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter for NVIDiA GTX cards. Also, make sure your computer power supply has enough power to run the new cards. Other than that I'm a bit stumped...

Yeah, I just create a rescue disk for the OS in Windows 10 (which allows a full reinstall) and don't worry about the OS after that.

Thanks for that link and for your thoughts. I don't really delete files by accident but crazy has been known to happen. I actually never thought about having Windows backup do it directly to OneDrive, lol! That would be great. Looks like I'll have to stick with Crashplan for now.

I have a OneDrive subscription but I dunno if I would describe it as a backup service. I mean, from what I understand, it syncs stuff mainly - like Dropbox. If I delete a document from a local OneDrive folder doesn't it sync that deletion everywhere? Crashplan keeps deleted files just in case...
