Once again most of the problems have been fixed, resolved ,corrected, done right by the customer, revised, how many ways do I need to put it.
You say RMA'ing is a hassle, too bad for you that you can't handle a phone call or an email. If you can't want a few weeks for a new revision your just...
Eye One Display 2 is currently the best one available. Uses the same sensor as the X-Rite Optix however lacks good implementation.
The best would be X-Rite Optix (not manufactured anymore) but if you can find one that's your best bet.
Tinting was resolved in later revisions of the panels, that includes the U2410 as well. Right now the only issues left behind is the IPS white glow found on my most IPS screens, even then reports claim it to be negligible.
Here's from a more reliable source: He acknowledges the problems with...
The 27% energy consumption savings are questionable (my current monitor uses 24w once calibrated using my brother in laws kill a watt, that's a CCFL backlit Dell U2211H). So far I haven't seen an LED do 27% less on power consumption. Even if it did the difference is around 7w which would...
I'd like to mention LED is not an improvement.
Should be about the same as the other eIPS. We shall see with reviews.
I am relieved to see they didn't throw in glossy display as well, or I would have raged.
23" 16:9 U2311H
Area: 225.89 in²
24" 16:10 U2410
Area: 258.88 in²
I would go for either a:
Dell U2311H 16:9 1920x1080
or HP ZR24W 16:10 1920x1200
Now unless you can read a page in under 10 seconds, I dont think scrolling will cause...
Lagom is an LCD testing website where you can test your LCD in several areas like contrast, gamma, viewing angles etc. What works for testing, also works for calibration :P
Yes it's free here's the link:
The difference in quality is not that great but it will be noticeable.
Okay the HP uses an IPS panel (eIPS to be exact, which is basically a numbed down eIPS)
This allows for slightly better viewing angles then the VA (AMVA/S-PVA) found on the 2407WFP's.* but still not offer the viewing angles...
The 2407WFP used an S-PVA or AMVA (refer to the Dell Lottery, see 2407WFP)
The 2407WFP-HC used an S-PVA strictly, it suffered from ghosting etc.
Anyways will you notice a difference in quality, and is it worth it...
You will. And Yes.
First I'd like to clarify I am neither for 16:9 nor 16:10. Both have their uses.
*EDIT: Removed content, pending revision and proof. Made a mathematical error.
*EDIT2: Removed permanently, proved that it isn't the case for 16:10.
Anyways. Was it also beneficial to...
Holy backlight bleeding batman.
Are they trying to illuminate the user of the panel?
Anyways it's likely edge lit LED, likely no better then most other 120hz LCD's available...
Too much hype/marketing, not enough substantial proof.
Review is out today. Great review. A bit of disappointment coming from the U3011 (uniformity mostly), I was expecting more but still.. It's one gorgeous display
Hi Hardforum. This review was originally posted on OCN, however been itching to come here to these forums because of the more active community in the display section. Today was the day I jumped ship. Hope you guys enjoy the review. Keep in mind I am NO professional, any corrections are gladly...
