Because i want..........; of course i could use proper English, but then; the education system here was NEVER for me, so how would i know!
Must be because i was born in 70 mixed-race...........; you know the anti-christ...... English-Jamaican..... etc etc.
Stop it with that equivelance shit...
Dude :) Thanks for videos, WILL try to get something out of them.........:)
As an aside ........, do not know what i changed in bios ( ...cant be setting NB=1.2v, DDR@1.5v, autoSub@everything...., Maybe -12VOCExpander @10A, mins for overvolt protection, max for undervolt protection, enhanced...
Thanks for reply dude :-)
PhysX....; looked good on demo's...Hahaha, tanked any game that used it LOL. Bit like DXR ( well, Nvidia's implimentation of it, just a sub-set as i understand ).
Its a waste...........; AMD, its a wasted opportunity ! God, how many times have i said that to myself...
Yes, i agree; not sure if practical to focus on mgpu aside from contributing to game FPS / physics / DXR etc...etc. Just dissapointed that i do not need 2 pc's and would like to utilise my R9 380 in current pc ( accept the heat/power cost ) in some useful way!
Have LG - 43UH650V...; been using as Desktop etc for years. After initial scaling issue; now is excellent; even @ 60Hz :)
Prefer 125% scaling; as i sit ~ 10-15feet away............; best visual upgrade ever :) Magnificent for Gaming + Media and anything else i do on desktop!
So, my previous card; the Gigabyte "windforce" model ( 1st time-truth marketing! in life........ ) is languishing in seocnd pc doing NOTHING.............:-(
Wondered what ALL those resouces put to say accelerating...............; DXR for example, would produce?
Projection 1 = 0.53FPS ..... LOL...
Why can i NOT have the same inherent functionality for DDR4 ( Go slower ! - go Lower :-) ); less volts; tighter timings : amongst these slow DDR4 speeds are some senarios where ( Desktop ) feels ........., Just like @ 3200 or 3400..............., some proper nonsense on one forum somewhere; the...
Excellent subs @ those speeds! - nice underlying IF speedup, I can feel those! :-); can not get my ( 14-15-14-14-27... ) CAS 15 down, no matter what i try........; all types of " Voodoo" nonsense... Ehhh!
Stopped there.
Nice data point dude......; :) i stand corrected! Happy, I am:)
Edit : .......:-( just looked on OCUK.... ehhhhhhh! @ £259 , not sure if that includes VAT ( 20% in UK ).
What a MONKEY i am...........; rageing against the machine...., before even looking myself! :)
I'll shutup now dude's n Gals...
:-), when ever; have we been able to buy @ MSRP.......upon release; i cannot remember anytime in the last couple of decades, maybe longer........: bit fuzzy memory; but thinking back in the Geforce 2 / Voodoo era ...... :-(
Dude, no offence....; stop that BOLLOKS about MSRP......................, what a fucking worthless metric...; no wait; MAYBE 2+ years after release yes...:-(
Oh God !!! I like TPU, but their methodology is.............., suspect and full of bias? Not that it has always been to the green-eyed-monster ! Surely, many of you will remember them; like lots of site's being called AMD shills etc........... :)
But, for fuck sakes TPU; stop it with the...
Not having a go OK.............; i wish you all would shutup about how ~ £300 is MID_RANGE.................... LOL! That price historically has always been lower-high end, yet to offset the Non-sense prices now being charged for High-end, you must call this mid-range to maintain the relative...
Interesting dude, your view point..............., as an aside; does that then make this card..., like the V7 a worthless upgrade, pointless, since you have HAD this performance for 2 years........., just like the 1080ti / vega 7 comparisons ?
Are you undervolting / overclocking Gpu ( have had such display anomalies with both senarios!), or do you have enough NB/SocV to ensure vidoe-out / display?, or maybe the Cpu needs a nudge, or DDR on V, to stabilise system-wide?
Excellent......, like those results very much :).........; a clear 100Mhz + over my 2600 @ 4.200Ghz ( ~ 1.375v F.L.F :)
Like you, LLC 1 for max stability, especially in work-critical setups; also have seen some large...ish variations in temp when auto@ anything LOL
Now, with the edge-cases i've...
Fully agree with the setiments expressed :-( Like you, and all of us on these type of forums ARE Hobbyists; and for me personally; take great, vicarious pleasure :) from helping others to also achieve extra performance/efficiency; or even just to have a better Gaming/ Media experience on their...
I'm also curious along these lines dude; .............when playing around with mining, i found on both R9 380 + RX 580 that; maximum efficiency gave me the best return; just was never willing to leave PC on, with significant Gpu noise all day/night :-(
But with undervolt + Chill + Fan tweaks...
Even though i dont own Nvidia, this is a good thing! Atleast the early-adopters can hopefully get to see the benefits they bought into; before they upgrade again:-(
Hahahahaha @ Brent_Justice :) Thank you dude!
great updated summary quote :)
and i quote " We have done further testing to further identify why GPU temps increase while undervolting. Though we did not touch the fan speed, the culprit seems to be the fan speed. "
Thanks dude, will continue...
Corsair Vengance LPX 2x4GB @ 3200 C-L 16 :
Been able to do XMP since bios ~ G/H ( MSI X370 GPC ); 2933-3000 before!.
On my R5 1400, would boot into and game @ 3333 auto-everything, but not system-wide stable!
Tightend down to 14-15-14-14-27-46-227-1T @ 1.45-1.506v bios with NB/Soc @ ~ 1.170v...
~ +6-8% range for me from stock, when undervolting; before the stock ( 0% ~ 1.156-1.161V ) must be used to stabilise further OC'ing. 1466/2100@+31mV - +50%PL - Highest sofar:)
RX 580 8G
Edit : clarity.
I........, on my RX580; MUST only use MSI Afterburner for all OC related adventures...:-~ Any opening of Wattman inside General Settings causes instability to arise acrooss desktop use, that eventually forces a re-application of afterburner setings Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr : not happy:-(
Hmmmmmm...
Ahhhh, understand now dude, system-stable OC'ing; especially for work-based senarios..., cool:-) purely game/browse/media consumption on pc, nothing work related.
Really good article Brent_Justice ..., thanks:)
Funnily enough; when UV my Gigabyte RX580 8G @ ~ >-95mv i get not problems as such ( without specific testing; nothing comes to mind! ). Below -95mv i get screen transitions slowing ( by many seconds sometimes....; video-out block not recieving...
On my MSI X370 GPC , we now have both Offset + Override on Cpu + NB/Soc ...:) Yay!!!; since bios 1.K0 i think ( currently on 1.L0 )?
What we do not have is individual setting of p=state like you have. Have messed around with P-state OC'ing but not feeling anything on my R5 2600 really; besides...
