Thanks for checking! My monitor doesn't seem to be arcing that much, I had it running for a few hours the other day and didn't notice it arc at all. It looks like both monitors have the same problem though. I don't think they would both have the same components be defective from the factory, so...
I checked the capacitors that I could see, and none of them looked like they were bulging. It was difficult to see them through the shielding though, so I may have missed some.
