1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming (specifically BF3), web browsing, movies, and day trading.

Looking for opinions on which of these two to buy for my 2700k and I will be overclocking with my H70.
They are both priced the same (give it take $20). I will be using this is a mid tower case so mATX isn't a requirement.
Ultimately, they both satisfy my I/O needs (Sata 6gb/USB 3.0)...
Would prefer to sell as a combo. All parts used less than 1 year and I have receipts for all the parts.
Intel i7 970 cpu (retail boxed not OEM)
Asus P6X58E-D LGA1366 motherboard
Corsair XMS 6GB (3x2GB) RAM
I've done a lot of reading but many sites offer different opinions.
My rig is in my sig and it's time for gfx upgrade for BF3. The resolution will be 1920x1200.
What I'm looking for specifically is to play BF3 multiplayer (as apparently 64 player server requires more gfx power) at ultra...
I thought by having hardware LUT, all input sources will output accurately on the display. If the input source requires a profile, how would a PS3 or XBOX know what the adjustments are if they don't load a iccprofile?
I just bought a 2nd WD6401AALS Black to try RAID 0 for my first time. I read many people suggesting to short stroke them for maximum performance. What size is optimal to get the best performance from the WD6401AALS Blacks?
I will be running Win7 Pro 64bit and about four games. I...
I just bought a ColorMunki along with Spectraview II 1.1.03 and performed my very first calibration of my 2490wuxi.
Here are my results:
Is my white point Delta E high? How is my black level?
Should I measure my ambient light and turn on autoluminence?
I've been beating this to death for the past couple of days.
Aside from building a new rig, I want to go budget as possible to play MW2 at highest details at 1920x1200.
I'm thinking I will need a 4890 but then my cpu will be a bottleneck. I found a Q8400 for cheap and was thinking of...
I'm in the EXACT same boat. Only difference is I have 4gb RAM but my E2160 is running at 3.46ghz. Main use are gaming, internet, and I run dual lcds.
Assuming I run either the E8400 or Q6600 at about 3.4ghz, would it still be worth the upgrade? I found those cpu's going for about $150 locally.
What are your refresh rates at native resolution? I just tried hooking up my MBP and running OSX setting the NEC at 60Hz. I'm still only at 59.9Hz. I know its not much of a difference but I would like to know if its only my monitor or is 59.9Hz rounded to 60Hz.
Okay, this is a bit strange. I have my power management set to put the monitor to sleep but it doesn't go to sleep. Just a black screen. Is this normal?
And for those of you not running Win7, what is your refresh rate on your monitor? 59.9Hz?
Well 60hz is actually listed, I select it, hit apply all is fine. I go back to double check to see if it actually changed it to 60hz, and to my surprise it is still 59hz.
I did some googling, apparently this is a Win7 issue.
Mine is also quite loose and pivets quite a bit when I push the buttons down.
So what did you guys receive? Did any of you receive a DVI cable or manual? Does your screen have any evidence of cleaning residue?
I also have no dead pixels from using online pixel check images. Can't get...
I just received my refurb LCD2490WUXi from techforless. Box is definitely huge!
It came with power cable, VGA cable, and the LCD in a plastic bag. No manuals, DVI cable, or a plastic screen protector. Was this the same for the others who bought from techforless?
Powered the bad...
I just picked up a WD 6401AALS to replace my old Seagate Barracuda 250gb. Currently, I have 3 partitions on my hard drive, C:\ and D: & E:. I only have XP installed on my C:\ and I want to keep all my files on D: & E: and use the old HD as my secondary. I want to install a fresh copy...
