I've been subscribed to this forum for a while now and have always enjoyed it. I also spend a lot of time on reddit's /r/buildapc subreddit for advice and recommend people coming to hardforum to seek out advice as well. An overwhelming majority of users have stated that they've tried to make an...
Then why do people recommend a more expensive single GPU card than SLI'ing cheaper cards. SLIing provides better performance for less cost but I see it time and time again people recommending not SLIing and just spending all they can for a single card.
This seems like a good time to ask why people choose the more expensive single card than going SLI? According to that logic you would rather spend 1k on a titan than SLI 760's, no? What's the reasoning for this when SLI'ing 760's or even 770's that blow the single card out of the water for a lot...
Danny, can I ask why you did not recommend to "pro" series of the samsung 840? I use to see it recommended in every build to push for the pro series but now I don't see it anymore. Could you shed some light on this reasoning?
Thanks.
Sorry for the stupid question but why are people saying 4K TV's are going to be very cheap "around the corner"? They're not even mainstream yet, how can they be cheap when they first come out?
Amazon has price matched with Prime.

Could you point me in the direction where you're getting 680's for $350? Cheapest I could find was $426.

This may be a dumb question but why are you getting a 3470 for $240 when you can get a 3570k for $219? Gives you the option to overclock if you want and it's cheaper. Am I missing something here?
This is a really stupid question but I got my SanDisk Extreme 240 last July for $150 with average read/write being ~500MB/s, why haven't the prices for SSD's dropped much since then? New hardware/technology keeping the prices up?
Could you explain a little bit why the Samsung Pro is so highly recommended around here for double the cost. Is it all about the bump from ~260 MB/s write to ~500 MB/s write?
Here are the uncensored pics I found off Reddit.

Apple isn't leading in customer service and quality for no reason. Their products are great quality and work right out of the box while being so simple to use them. Although they are a little pricier, you are buying amazing quality and customer support, which is very hard to come by with any...
If someone wants to get back into WoW, I'm giving my account away. 3 85's rogue, death knight, warlock. PM me if you want it. Rogue is ilevel 389, lock 347, death knight 333, good account with plenty to do still. I'm tired of this game and want to give someone else joy for MoP
Have an '08 White Macbook 4,1 (non-uninbody) with upgraded 4GB Ram, SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD, and the battery was replaced last year by the Apple store so it's in solid condition. I bought Lion for it but Snow Leopard is a better running operating system so I reverted back to Snow Leopard. Let...
It's actually only a SATA I connection. Link and Negotiated Link Speed are both 1.5Gb/s. I am on Snow Leopard and have done the "hack" to get trim enabled. I really wish I had a SATA III computer around to try and test its full potential.
I haven't done business with [H]ardforum and it's been a while since I've done business online. For the past few years I've been using craigslist but no one in my town seems to want a SSD. I use to paintball a lot so I have feedback from PbNation if you've ever heard of that website.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am selling a 4-day old SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5" SSD. This drive is blazing fast and practically brand new. I only put it in my computer to test it out to make sure everything was working correctly and it is in perfect working condition. It comes with original...
I have a SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5" SSD for $170 shipped that is 3 days old. Comes with original packaging and everything that came with it in the box. Very good SSD and arguably one of the fastest and most reliable SSD's to date. Let me know if you're interested and we can work something out...
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am selling a LNIB SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5" SSD. This drive is blazing fast and practically brand new. I only put it in my computer to test it out to make sure everything was working correctly and it is in perfect working condition. It comes with original...
Which numbers are these and how can I tell of they are good or not for SATA I? I guess a better question would be does the fact I'm locked the SATA I limit the random read write speed or the fact I don't have ACHI?
Yeah I've seen those and they come at a cost, which sucks. Anyways of this drive is performing that fast I'm impressed. I was really put off seeing 120 on my Mac side because my old hard drive was around 80 so it wasn't really much of an improvement in my eyes.
I'm using latest version of snow leopard and I have installed trim via a guys hack to get it running. I have also tried benching random input instead of just zeros and the values come out the same. So that's not a problem either. The one thing that is weird is the Sandisk doesnt provide AHCI for...
Hello everyone,
I just installed a new SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD and tried out some benching. It's on a Macbook 4,1 which is limited to SATA I speeds and I used AJA and BlackMagic benchmarks and got around ~120MB/s seq. R/W speeds. I boot camped windows 7 and just now benched using...
