Game was bad until I turned off in game v-sync and forced it in Nvidia panel, and then upped the mouse sensitivity to max, then it became the best game I've played all year.
Been using TrackIR 2 with flight sims for years now, best piece of kit I ever bought for immersion.
Yes, turn your head, keep eyes forward on screen, obviously you can adjust how much the view moves in relation to head movement so you don't need to be able to see out the side/back of your head :)
Modern = Lock On.
WWII = IL2 1946 which still has quite a lot of online players vai Hyperlobby.
DCS who made Lock on have just released Black Shark (KA50 heli) in Russia today, they're saying about three months for translations and release to the rest of the world.
Rise of Flight (WWI)...
If you had an active account in the past you'll be able to log in with it until the end of the month.
The new RoK starter area is ceratinly th ebest place to start currently, however everywhere else is about to have it's items updated so they should be more even.

Trial download is to the right of the oval thing.
EQ2 is a great game, far better than it was at launch, I tried to play WoW and couldn't stand it at all.
:( You're not having a good weekend, it's not just you though...

Seems a bit odd as you need an active sub to even post on the official forums, did you get as far as creating account name/password stuff?
I can understand your frustration but it is the weekend, if there has been an issue it probably won't get sorted until Monday when their web teams get back into work.
Loads of new people just started EQ2 with the release of Rise of Kunark, it's not at all too late to get into and is a great game.
As said get the Rise of Kunark pack, it contains everything that has been released so far.
IL2 1946, should be fairly cheap by now too :)
Avoid Lomac as it has Starforce in most versions, someone should be able to tell you which don't have it hopefully.
Too many people moaning that the rocker was rubbish, only once it was gone did people realise just how much better it was than a twist stick. I have the X52Pro which is great except two things:
1) Lack of rudder rocker as you already mentioned, negated by my pedals though.
2) The current...
Plenty of options can be switched on or off to make IL2 arcade or simulation, you just have to get your head around all the double negative switch titles.
And yet somewhat sadly the most vocal and apparent part of that community is probably one of the most immature I've ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with, mind you seeing as how I've been avoiding the forums for a good few months now that may have changed.
It's a beta demo so expect issues, other than that you'd be better off heading to the official forums for information on your issues.

Well that all depends on your gunnery skills, I've seen plenty of planes get utterly shredded by P47's in IL2. At what range are you firing, are you even hitting with all guns as convergance plays a large part in it too.
Knights of the sky ;)
Website is being redone at the moment I believe:

The sensitivity is adjustable, I only have to turn a few inches to look behind in game and certainly never enough that I am anywhere near losing sight of my monitor.
You may want to check your system over, my e6600 and 8800 GTS runs in ultra mode far faster than that, it's almost playable and it runs high without any issues whatsoever.
