OK, so I have a pair of Sony MDR-V600s, yeah, shoot me, but I like them. I was wondering if the Sennheiser HD497s would be better for CS:S in terms of soundstage and sound postioning. Thanks for the input.
MrPrez
^^ Yep sir, no question, right now, AMD cpus are better for games. Check the numbers your self, temps, performance, price etc. You're much better off purchasing an AMD processor as of right now.
From what Ive seen, correct me if Im wrong, but they are about equal in speed, however, two 6800 GTs will be more expensive. So, Id go with the X850 XT
Anyone having PunkBuster problems with CoD with the 5.5s and the latest CoD patch (1.5)?
I keep getting kicked for a multitude of reasons. There is no pb folder in my CoD directory either, so PBWEB doesnt help me. Anyone have some advice?
agreed, the 497s do not suck, they are quite good, the best sub 100 dollar headphone, to quote headroom.com. I did a comparison between them and my Sony MDR-V600s. The Sony's have more bass, but the highs can be shrill, the 497s have good bass, nothing that shakes your head though, and the highs...
Monarch is good, try TCcomputers.com, although im not sure if the name is still the same.
There are tons of online stores, just do a little looking around, you'll find what you need.
It sucks that you have to work so many hours, but at least that is what is paying for all that lumber...and the electricity bill. Oh wait, you have that Mk. 9 UNSC Halcyon Fusion reactor in your garage. :D
A friend and I had a very in depth discussion about 5.1 headphones. Needless to say, technically they do work, if you wear them, and try them they work, but physiologically, they shouldnt work. If you have two mics representing the ears, and a multi driver headphone set pointed at one mic...
Very true, and no, my portable electronics dont die, i do charge them, regularly, but Id rather not have to charge my mouse. Eh, my thread got crapped and has gone OT, thanks guys.
PS: Little moody at the moment. Just had my Algebra final, and if dont get a C on it, i dont pass, which means I...
No it's really not. I bought one to see how it was. It's heavy, the software is goofy and it's wireless, that means charging, that means hassles, i hate hassles. Good mouse though.
Headsets are worthless you say? Well, it looks like I need to make a new thread in the computer audio section on...
Wow. Killer rig. You're in England no? 2,300 pounds is about 4 grand in US dollars if not more. So you're getting the Diamondback uh? Ill look into that as well as the Medusas. Thanks Jen.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking also. I know a lot of people use the Senn and the Plantronics headsets though, and I hear that most who have the Plantronics whould rather have teh PC150, so, Ill probably go with the PC150s.
The MX518 is so cool though.....
Medusa eh? Ill look into them some more, Ive also heard nothing but good things about them as well. PC Gamer gave said the MX518 is better than the MX510. Not by leaps and bounds mind you, but better. Thanks kids.
Ok, so I have some extra cash, which should I get?
1) MX518
-I have an MX510, is it worth the upgrade?
2) Plantronics DSP-500 headset
3) Sennheiser PC-150 headset
I play a lot of CS:S and CoD and I have a dedicated set of music headphones. Thanks in advance.
