Wait, you want to have a 300MHz FSB, for 600MHz DDR?
Or you want to have a 600Mhz FSB, for 1200Mhz DDR?
I have a feeling hitting a 600MHz FSB on the AMD platform you have is impossible.
For 600Mhz DDR, even the cheapest sets can do 667MHz DDR at 1.8V, like this one here
Sure, that's one way to look at it, but the industry uses the term to refer to expansion cards that fit in a case that has "low-profile" or short expansion slots. Such as this one. If you look at the specifications, you'll see it next to expansion slots category.
Typically when looking at...
Yeah, the Gigabyte board supports DDR2-1066, but that Q6600 only runs at a fsb of 266, or DDR2-533. So you only need DDR2-533 to run the memory 1:1 with the processor at stock speeds. Need DDR2-666 to run 1:1 with the upcoming Penryn. (Remember the FSB rating on processors is quadrupled, and for...
Actually, not really.
The resistivity of metals increases as temperature increases. So as the card gets hotter, all the circuitry on the board is getting more resistive, which makes the card require more power, which increases the temperature, which makes it more resistive, etc.
Now I'm not...
360 generally looks better over VGA than the component output. You can get this cable.
I tried both, and the VGA is better by a noticeable amount, but the component is certainly decent.
From what I know from reading FAQs (no real-world SLI experience), with the nvidia SLI setup, it is possible to hook up 2 monitors to the cards, and enable SLI when you want to use the one monitor for gaming, and disable SLI via drivers (on the fly, shouldn't require reboot) to get a dual...
The bezel on mine is flush and not movable anywhere.
Also, I get no buzzing sound, in sRGB mode, at any brightness. (I usually run 30).
The service menu says 06/11/02 V 1.420
I'm assuming that's Nov 2nd, 2006.
Interesting, thanks for the input.
I tried both video mode and PC mode for HDMI, with my PC hooked up to it, and the EZ video was greyed out for both, so it is definitely dependent on the source, and not a menu setting.
I was looking back through this thread, and it seems it doesn't work for anybody on HDMI, and one person mentioned it doesn't work for VGA either. So I'm not really sure what it does.
Everyone seems to be getting by without it though.
No, as far as I know, games render at a set resolution on the 360, and then the 360 upconverts the content to the correct output resolution. For example, Halo 3 runs at a resolution of 640p(no matter what resolution you have your system set to), and the 360 sends the content out at the...
Well, your link doesn't work, but I'm assuming you mean here.
The o-rings are more for holding the 'pillars' to the back-plate than anything else, but if they aren't allowing the plate to sit flat for some reason, then I imagine it could cause you some problems. Not really sure other than...
RGB means use the VGA input on the monitor, as opposed to HDMI.
You want to use HDMI, but set it to sRGB color mode, so go to the menu, and under the picture menu (the topmost one), go to CSM, and set it to sRGB.
Enjoy :)
Is aspect scaling where it would force 800*600 into 16:10 aspect ratio, but still keep it 600 vertical or something? If not, let me know, I'm curios.
Anyway, it sounds like he just wants to play the game at 800*600, with black bars. Why isn't 1:1 good enough for that?
EDIT: nevermind, got...
Since when can't the LG use 1:1 mode?
I set my nVidia control panel to "use my display's built-in scaling", and whenever I lower the resolution to something less than 1920*1200, I can go to the menu->screen->ARC->and select 1:1.
I see you have the 245WP, and I have the 246WP, not sure if there...
You didn't have another computer or source to test it on?
Otherwise, the only thing I can think is that the reds were set too high, but I assume you played with the color levels.
On mine the space is about equal across all sides, and about 4 or 5 (what would be) pixels in width.
Looks normal to me. What kind of space are you talking about? more than a few pixels?
You have to remember that the stock multiplier for the processor (9x) can be changed.
You can run 400*8 = 3.2GHz, still keeping your ram at stock DDR 800 speeds. These heatsinks will certainly be able to cool that.
Another thing to realize is that it doesn't matter if your ram is running at...
This is the advanced bonus map, as stated in the title. The advanced maps are altered.
In this case, there is no energy ball, and the platform is already moving, among other differences.
I looked into getting one of those for a while(for my laptop, no S-video), and found out only certain computers/video cards support it. Normal VGA will not send out the necessary signal to convert to RCA.
I found that it was some Dell that supported the feature, and wasn't able to find any...
Well, I can promise you that upping the PCI bus will NOT increase the voltage to your card.
As far as I know, it is just the frequency at which that the card interacts with the mobo.
Now for some reason, eva2000, who posted a lot about his overclocking results with the P5K Deluxe board...
I have the monitor, and when I hooked up a PS3 to it via HDMI there were no issues at all.
It was my friends PS3, so i can't look up settings for you b/c I don't have it here.
We watched a BD movie and played some games, both looked impeccable.
I'd set most of the PS3 HDMI options to auto...
Awesome, thanks a lot. :)
No Vdroop mods for me :p
So when people say they run their proc at a certain voltage (for OC specs or whatnot) do they typically give the BIOS Vcore or the typical voltage that is reported in monitoring software?
Hi everyone.
I just built a new machine to replace my old P4 northwood.
It's an Asus p5k Deluxe with a E6420 C2D, and the DDR2-1066 Ballistix.
I've been realizing that the voltage actually going to the processor is significantly different than what i set it at in the BIOS. (at least that is...
No doubt the best option is to buy the VGA cable for the 360 and go right into the VGA monitor input.
I never had good luck running consoles through tuner cards. As most have stated, it will look shitty. And probably lag.
Especially if you don't have a console now, don't spend money on a...
I just built a machine with the Bad Axe 2, and it's an awesome board.
Just as a note, the BLKD975XBX2KR version of the bad axe 2 is the Bulk version of the board, not retail. Retail will be BOXD975XBX2KR
Why would you not be able to do crossfire with a sound card?
Some people like to have multiple video cards to run more monitors. You can run 4 monitors off of 2 video cards.
Also, PCI-e slots are scalable, so you can run a 1X or 4X card in that 16X slot, so it's not a total waste if you don't want crossfire or a 4 head setup. At least that is my...
Did it "chip" off in an area that was touching the actual components of the card? (memory chips, or the GPU) If it only came off in an area that didn't have contact with the card itself(just stuck to the heatsink, but not to any part of the card), you're more than fine.
How big was the chip...
I'm building a machine for my brother:
Bad Axe 2
C2D 6400
2GB Corsair Kit
X1950XT (Buying used from a friend, with a Zalman cooler on it)
320GB Seagate HD
TruePower 2.0 510W PSU
Now the only thing is he currently using an Antec SX635BII It would be nice to be able to throw everything...
