Part of me thinks that because people are becoming aware of Microsoft's patents and how gamers would LOVE the chance to have a true vote based on a hotbutton subject for product A or B, that being XBox or PS4.
However, the cynic in me sees Microsoft not giving a damn what people find out about...
It's gonna be a damn interesting time around E3 though.
All I know is those patents are real, and their technology isn't possible without being always on.
That's of course not to say that every patent is carried out...that's plain madness.
But I felt those were being seriously overlooked while...
Based on let's say they had been planning to roll it out until this latest shit storm with Adam Orth or have been putting out feelers, well as you say things are being announced in a month so I'd think they would like to manufacture precisely what they announce if hardware would need to be...
That's a good example.
I guess I'm more saying that always on DRM has more tentacles than just plunking 256MB more RAM into each unit. It doesn't seem to be an element which could be handbraked and spun 180 degrees around in a month.
Perhaps it's because none of us have the specific specs, but wouldn't it be safe to say that if Microsoft had planned on releasing an always on requirement and then at the last minute decided to change their mind, it would take a hell of a long time?
And my guess is permissions have already...
Add to that the other Twitter user in the conversation with Orth, Manveer Heir who happens to be Senior Gameplay Designer at Bioware, brought up connectivity issues in rural areas and the dill weed replied with, "Why would I live there?"
If anybody doesn't think that this guy represents the...
That's one of the reasons I didn't go much into connectivity issues or servers being pulled...which is why I chose to focus more on the patents and how the R&D investment into some of these features would go to waste if there isn't an always-on element.
I'm not attempting a Miss Cleo...

This is the only forum I'm posting this video link on, because you all have a more mature audience and at least allow four letter words.
The rumors are swirling fast and furious that the XBox 720 "Durango" will require always-on DRM. I give several...

I'd like to offer my case for 3D gaming to those of you who swear you'll never try it.
It's based on my experiences thus far, and feel free to use my arguments when debating your friends.
Pardon my voice today, as I'm just getting over a nice Wisconsin winter cold...
Here are the impressions I've gotten after a few days using my new Asus VG278H 3D 120hz monitor.
Also, I'll discuss briefly why I won't have SLI for a few weeks.
Calibration settings:
Game mode, Brightness 65, Contrast 80, Saturation 50, Color Temp. User R 100 G 100 B 85, Sharpness 30, Trace...
I'm replacing my current LG 27" 60hz monitor with this Asus 27" VG278H 3D 120hz, and also adding a second EVGA GTX 670 SC+ 4GB Edition graphics card for SLI.
This is the unboxing, and in a few days look for my detailed impressions...
Agreed with BigJay. Pretty good list you've put together, dlesko.
You certain you don't wanna go for a full tower just in case you sometime want to SLI those 680s? The extra room will help the temps, as well.
OP you genuinely need to take some time and put a list together, or have someone else do it for you, of the absolute best bang for the buck components. If you can't afford top of the line, which by a comment you made earlier about having to save up for something I'm guessing you can't afford it...
That's the thing that confused me, is turning was so choppy even though the FPS were consistently in the 30-40 range.
I'm optimistic newer drivers will greatly extinguish this.

It really would scare me off that, seeing as the boards are so friggin late, do people expect the BIOS updates and such to be rolling out after the lineup eventually is released?
Yeah anybody still waiting for an EVGA P67 when all these great choices are out there just have not been paying attention to the not-so-subtle Huang-like "It'll be released when it is...if it's months late, who cares"
It actually happened.
Much of the design team went to Sapphire Motherboards, while Peter Tan aka Shamino is associated now with Asus.
No coincidence the Maximus IV is an absolute beast.
All that does make sense, but the poor decision to be so tight-lipped has turned off a great many consumers...mainly pushing them over to the Asus camp.
My sympathy would've been a given if they'd annotated their 'No info. Be patient" mantra with roughly what you said.
I heard awhile back from a few people that they already have almost gone bankrupt at least once before...things like that dual monitor InterView or whatever they called it REALLY did not sell
I was initially very hesitant in creating a Hitler Reacts... video because many have been done, but I felt if I was hard-hitting and fact-based that in a way it would be original
I know...I wish I had the money or talent to do a professional design job. With my site, it's all Dreamweaver I did from scratch, and the YouTube is just my setup.
And I really don't have many friends, certainly none that are proficient in Adobe.
All I can say is the reason it really doesn't matter to me if they ever offer me a product to review again (which they won't) and why I sold off all my EVGA gear was how they treated me, a supposed 'friend of the company,' after their board about melted my system.
Some people it's best to have...
I certainly don't want anyone to be out of a job, but a way to have good job security is to not be shady and give your company's loyal base a sign of good faith by just stating exactly what the hell has been up...
Aside from the video saying 'f*ck' and 'sh*t' exactly like that, and clearly their family-friendly TOS has no problems with heads and arms being chopped off, I challenge a retort based on the facts presented of what the real reason for the video's removal.
Here's an idea...finish the boards and...
I find it exceedingly hilarious that EVGA locked the thread and removed the video due to my 'breaking the TOS for faux swearing' yet this garbage I'll bring your attention to is apparently just fine...so much so that their very own Jacob commented in the thread so there's clearly no problem with...
I wanted to jam more in, but the subtitles were flying by rather fast as it is :D
Yeah I'm sure it's ruffled EVGA's feathers, but so what...they ruffled mine by denying my RMA when their Classified motherboard ate my 24-pin.
Just simple reasons for delays would be a move of good faith to those who have waited...instead, you receive responses like "It's not available."
Gone beyond the Fermi delay of Q1 2010.
