That's it in a nutshell.......so message to all of you boys and girls out there....eat your spinach.......don't talk to strangers.......and stop running endless loops of this years hottest benchmark if all you want to do is pew pew the bad guys. Lastly, enjoy your pc and don't sweat the small...
Of course you do and rightly so but it seems nowadays people over think this hobby and stress over things that get in the way of actually enjoying your pc and having fun while gaming. I'm sure my 10850k holds back my 4090 in some scenarios but I am still going to enjoy my new card and not lose...
Gosh man! I've never seen a time when pc gamers make gaming seem so freaking hard. This thread is almost painful to read. I myself just purchased an RTX 4090 that is paired with an I9 10850k and 32gb of ram with Windows 11 on a nice 500gb SSD. I have a 2tb ssd for my games. My display...
Yes. Little did we know what the future would bring once these beautiful pieces of tech were phased out. 😢 i picked this one up just to keep in storage with the intent of pulling her out here and there to make sure she still works. Just wanted to save her and show her to the youngsters in 20...
Hello all,
I'm currently using 3 Samsung - Odyssey G50a 27” IPS 1440p @ 165hz monitors with a 10850k paired with an RTX 4090. The monitors are setup in portrait mode for a res of 4320x2560@165hz. I'm loving the setup and NV surround has been excellent in terms of ease of use. I want to add...
Just picked this gem of a unit up recently. She's only 17in but always good to find a zero hour unit; especially a Sun branded flat screen with a Samsung tube. Also, just like it's bigger 21in brethren this unit is built like a tank and quite heavy!
Perhaps because we want to enjoy playing a game we all loved with updated graphics and sound and we want it now. Gaming can be a very simple pleasure once you get past all the tech stuff. I'm over 50 now and I don't let the small stuff get in the way of just playing games. When I was younger...
Stalker 2 is all I'm waiting on.......:) I pray they maintain the dark, dour atmosphere present in the original along with the superb lighting and shadows of the underground areas. I've got a 22in Sun GDM 5410 purchased new in box over a year ago just waiting to go back to the Zone.
All depends on the condition of the unit. If it's a solid unit with no defects then 500 with shipping is not a bad deal for that unit. No matter what you are rolling the dice and gambling with your money because any of these units can arrive DOA or develop issues shortly after taking delivery...
There is no price guide for those models. The market will yield what people are willing to pay. The units you seek have been selling for thousands of dollars in recent auctions. I should know since I have both sold and purchased a mint condition new in box FW900 in the past year. Prices for...
OP speaks as if you can just hop in the car or jump on the internet and just casually buy any of these units? That Intergraph you speak of is quite the rarity along with an FW900. You may be able to find the other units you mention though. Good luck!
Agreed! I actually played the original Dead Space 1 and 2 on a triple crt setup just so i could have the wider FOV. The fov in it's original state made playing it unbearable for me. I enjoyed the game much more with the wider aspect ratio. I understand why they did it but I could not play that...
From the trailer it seems they have changed the over the shoulder view from the previous games and given the player a wider fov? If that's the case I'm a happy bear! :)
Well into my 50s and jumping off this hype train we call PC gaming. Got myself a mint condition 22" crt paired with a 10850k and 3060ti and I'm golden for what may be indefinitely. I run 1600x1200@ 85hz and games look beautiful compared to the 2560×1440@144hz IPS sitting next to the Trinitron...
I think I will love the game no matter what....just send me back into THE ZONE! Give me a rusty knife, a serviceable AK-47, and a sawed off shotgun and I will make it to the center once more.......
Almost forgot a bottle of vodka, piece of old boar meat and a med kit. :)
Just watched the new trailer. I have one reservation and that's the gunplay. I am a fan of the old, janky guns of the original. This looks like the gunplay is too Call of Duty for my taste. Not a deal breaker for me but there's something special and unique about the overall feel of the guns in...
Well guys I sold her. :( I'm moving from Fl back up north for a new job that will earn me a second federal pension after 10 years of service. I don't know where I'll be living for the first month and can't take all of my crt's with me. She went to a great home and the buyer seemed like a true...
Thanks for the input.
Update: I did a complete cleanup and reinstall of the latest Nvidia drivers and wala! She's displaying all color temps from 5000 to 9300k PERFECTLY! No tint anywhere to be found. Enhanced Interrogator much appreciated for your input along with all of you. Contrast is...
If it's a software problem then why do I get the same purple tint when switching to another laptop using integrated graphics? No Nvidia software installed on that unit.
I'm away from my desk but I posted a screenshot of her running 320x240. I'll try again in the morning to run 60hz and also confirn the res and refresh in the OSD. Unfortunately though when i run 240p it only does it one to one on my screen. Even when forced via NVCP to stretch full screen it...
It's fixed! I've got my other crt sitting right next to it and the images are almost identical now; granted the OSD settings are quite different. I'm happy though....thought for a moment I was going to have to return her. Thanks for the assist.
BTW, she does do 240p at 85hz via analog. Not sure...
