You could send 4k/120hz/ycbcr444/12bpc to display which requires 48 Gbps. 40 Gbps limit is 10bpc. Not sure if there are benefits since LG CX/C1 would still show 10 bit image. There is discussion on reddit with this hack and setting BT2020 mode on Lg colors would be better. There is also a...
I guess editing peak luminance with cru only works on Windows 11? I am still on Windows 10.
I need to update my motherboard, cpu and mem before going to 11. Unless I force install it.
Strange thing about this C1. It is manufactured March this year. I would have thought they were emptying last...
Just bought LG C1. When gaming on HDR how would you setup Tone Mapping? On, Off or HGIG? Is it game relevant?
Should I enable HDR first on Windows then turn on HGIG and then launch game and setup brightness in game?
I read somewhere that HGIG should be enabled before launching game.
I would test with only your second monitor connected to see if it is a monitor problem. Did you install any Lg's software? Kind of doubt if monitor could freeze the whole pc.
Try lowering refresh rate. Your integrated graphics probably can't handle higher refresh rates at 2k. Also if monitor has overclock enabled, disable it.
Just to comment on these blur issues. I have BL3200PT which shows perfect gamma and sharpness on that lagom test and I also have LG32GK850G which does not (close but not quite).
But both look the same to me when looking at texts on any font, size, color or background. Even when pushing my nose...
Response times are optimal below 165 so no point in ocing further. Also there is very little difference ocing 165 to 180+ compared to say 60 to 70+.
DP cables differ. You need a quality one for 165hz and especially if it's longer. (I don't have anything to recommend)
You were talking about 60 fps but why should goalpost be 60 fps when we are looking for at least 144 Hz monitor? Anything below 144 and you benefit g-sync.
I am thinking this has more to do with pixel layout than density. Maybe high vertical spacing between pixels. What monitor do you have? Samsung? Higher density would help but so would different pixel layout. I Don't have scanlines on my 32 inch 2k monitor...
Perfect PPI is different for each of us. Also whether you use scaling or not matters.
And of course games look ass when you run at different resolution than your native.
To me this monitor has perfect PPI. At current I own 32 inch monitor (BL3200PT) at the same resolution so I know this is the...
LG has 32gk850g on their site. VA panel 32 inch with G-sync:
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32GK850G-B-gaming-monitor
Is this for reviewed monitors only? No reviews yet of course...
If using HDMI, have you changed HDMI RGB PC Range to 0~255 from Picture advanced?
Are you using native resolution? Some resolutions for example 1920x1080 are washed out.
There is a review of Qnix320qhd on Tft central if anyone is thinking alternatives.
Benq is much better on every aspect except input lag because Qnix320qhd has almost no signal processing but because it does not use overdrive either g2g response times average 24ms making low input lag useless...
How can a firmware update fix banding unless every unit has it at the same place and at the same strength?
Wouldn't you need a custom firmware for every unit or somekind of adjustable setting?
I have had this monitor about half a year now. Does not have any flickering.
I tested Google Earth links you posted and games Titan Quest and Skyrim.
Manufacturing date is April 2014.
Monitor is connected through display port and I have been using tft centrals settings with brightness 0-40...
