Vista wasnt even bad. The crying around Vista made zero sense to me at all even when it was happening, and the fact that it has perpetuated for so long remains ridiculous. It was never meant to be installed on the bottom barrel hardware that people were running XP on which seemed to be the cause...
I started using it because its faster then Chrome and uses less resources... security/privacy options are better. I dont know what there is to not like about it.
I'm waiting for the day that I hear about a company fighting fire with fire and hires a mercenary group to sneak into whatever country these schmucks are in to wipe them out 🤷♂️
What about how unions almost destroyed the US auto industry? I remember reading a big article like a decade ago about how non-union Toyota employees had similar pay and benefits to the GM employees, but GMs cost per man hour was like 2.5x higher. They attributed that to unions iirc.
Type something like, "Write me a short blurb about the benefits of using lotion derived from natural ingredients on your skin". You can then take whatever it writes and modify it to fit your specific needs.
I wrote something like, "Write me a short blurb about why a titanium car key is an...
I don't think I've been excited about a graphics card launch since maybe the 9700 Pro... and before that, probably a GeForce 3.
Pretty soon the home PC will require three phase power supplies.
That's a pretty good idea 🤔
I tried to print something last night with .2mm line width... Came out super nice but the top layer was rougher then expected and my corners still curled up after it cooled off.
My print was probably .1-.2mm smaller then expected. I was printing a jig to use with...
Ive been printing a lot of stuff with the 3D printer and its got me thinking about what a good next step would be as far as a printer that is better without breaking the bank. Primarily looking for something that is a bit faster with a bit better quality. I plan on 3D printing a few small parts...
Windows 11 feels exactly like Windows 10 with some of the UI elements just being... abrasive to me. Its the first Windows Ive ever used that I purposely avoided installing on my main computer.
Looking for a USB hub with a built in card reader. This is the kind of junk someone here probably has sitting around in a drawer for the last year.
While Im at it, a USB header that plugs into a motherboard and mounts in a PCI slot on a case would be useful too. I have thrown all of mine away...
Well this was the description when I bought it:
Ive since basically taken the entire thing apart and put it back together straight/properly... the bed was crooked as hell and the guy was apparently printing a ton of stuff on it. It seems like it will be a good first printer. Ive already...
I almost exclusively avoid "high end" boards, usually have a bunch of features I dont really need and cost 2-3x the price. Ive been a fan of $100-150 Asrock boards for like a decade and they havent let me down. Some people just seem to want to buy "the best" for the sake of having "the best"...

Edit: won't let me put the image in for some reasons
I remember when Woot was legit AF... now it's just a crap store like everywhere else.
With all these Amazon return pallets and stuff you could probably start a spiritual successor to Woot pretty easily.
When I first got my Echo Dot I tried to set up a ton of neat features I had read about... not a single feature worked. At this point its been so long I cant even remember what I tried besides getting it to interact with the TV.
I use mine for Spotify, my smart light switches, the weather, and...
Not a typical news source I would ever post, but it's a decent read.

Fr fr, no cap... does everyone here really upgrade constantly? Once cards started reaching 600+ I greatly slowed down the rate at which I upgrade. The only graphics card release I have even gotten excited about was the latest intel offerings, and they ending up being meh at best. If I ever have...
Number of consoles sold doesnt mean anything if nobody is buying games. I remember reading an article about the Wii that talked about how your average person just bought the console and 1-2 first party games for the life of the console with third party games even lower... where the Xbox at the...
This looks like the spiritual successor to the great Walmart deal on the Motile laptop. My wife has been rocking that laptop for a couple years since they were released... still feels plenty snappy.
Edit: The Gateway may actually have a worse processor with everything else looking about the...
That dude is
Better off having someone tune it - if you are in Houston or anywhere nearby I can recommend pretty much one of the best shops in the country IMO for LSx/LTx tuning.
Burning oil also gums up the CAT. Eventually you will have an insane amount of deposits on the CAT that you cant...
The "valves getting dirty" is a massive problem. Many manufacturers are doing warranty engines for excessive oil consumption because people arent doing recommended top engine cleaning to get the carbon off of the valves which eventually makes it way to the piston rings and valve seals, causing...
Biggest thing I've noticed with newer phones and getting the most out of battery life is disabling 5g... some carriers don't even allow you to turn it off. I'm at 75% battery right now (7hrs after I unplugged it) with 4g only, if 5g was enabled I'd probably be around 40-50%.
