Are you trying to activate a retail version?

Does your MB have a speaker? I've worked on some boards that don't have a built in speaker. If you don't have one plugged in you don't notice the post codes :) Also did I read your post correctly, you had this issue prior to the new video card?

I think after looking at my options I'd be better off parting out the system and using the cash towards upgrading my main rig which I planned on doing regardless. Then I can use the old components from that for a HTPC.

Yup - I actually bought 2 Samsung 1TB drives from newegg. Should be getting them today. I've been working on ripping my Dvd's and will be starting on my blueray library as soon as I get my new PC built. Which will hopefully be soon :D Then hopefully I can part my current system into a HTPC.

Sounds good - I'll start parting it out, although I'll probably go for an HTPC before a file server. I just don't have enough movies ripped yet to make it worth it.

I have Shogun 2 and Rift on pre-order. DA2 will be a launch day pickup. But I think I'll wait for DOW Retribution and Deadspace 2 to hit a steam sale. And to think I was starting to make a dent in my backlog...

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing with my Lancer. It seems like it would be a fun build. Also for soloing Cure/Shock Spikes are almost must haves. I leveled up to 14 without them and man what a difference they make.

But it's also been a month and I'm still having a really good time. Which is more then I can say I had at this point in the above games. For those of us still playing what class are you enjoying most?

I wonder what the actual number is. To bad SE won't release information like that. What were the numbers for other MMO's like WAR and Aion? I bet there's a similarity, maybe not quite as big but I'm sure its closer then people would think.

Ah - I never ran anything except vent when I play. My computer is a touch older so I need all the power I can get :D Have you tried windowed mode with the new drivers?

I've only had the game crash once in full screen mode. Maybe I'm just lucky :)

I had more lag then normal last night for about 15min after logging in. But after that it was smooth sailing. I also updated my Video Card drivers last night (Card in Sig). It seemed to make a difference. I was able to see players a lot farther off, and it didn't take as long to load...

I think they should add a "punt the lalafell" button? I think that would be better then jump :p

Personally I'd get the cage. Spend a little bit more now and have peace of mind, it will probably save you $ in the long run. But if you decide to mod it, post some pics I'm interested to see it work.

Might want to try Microsoft Security Essentials and CCleaner as well. Also make sure you backup your work on a separate drive/disk. Just make sure to scan it throughly before you put it back on your PC. ;)

Pretty much any MMO when your playing with a group of friends. Although our healer always seemed to heal the mob we were attacking when he got a little to drunk. Made for great laughs over vent :D

Yup, I've bought more then my wallet cares to remember. Just ordered a full build from them today. Not for me unfortunately, building it for a friend :p

No need for that big of a PSU. Depending on the other components you will be just fine with a cheaper 750W PSU.

Why don't you build your own PC? It's cheaper and way more rewarding :)
