I think they are all LED now, any of the 1440p 27"s are going to be pretty similar pannels. The cheaper Korea direct monitors might have slight blemishes/cheesy stands and its harder to return for warranty support. But for the price, they'are hard to beat. Under $300 on ebay currently...

Check out the time trial ghosts, its all about the heavies in the high speed karts w/slicks. My Fave is Wario/circut special/cyber slicks. Have gotten on the leader boards a few times :D

The big guys are great if you can get out in front, then build up some distance so blue shell recovery is possible. In the top speed cart+10 coins, they are insanely fast. In n64 I played Wario just cuz, Mk wii I did dry bones/troopa, now back to Wario :D

If you haven't experienced Wii games running on Dolphin (screen shots) I'd recommend it. Mario Kart Wii looks fantastic in full HD. I own 2 Wii's but only play MK Wii on PC. The Wii's still get plenty of love with retro/nes/snes games though. - Can't wait for real HD MK, with art/models...

The graphics are amazing, try finding another game with a similar art style that looks that good. The classic track thing isn't as bad as it sounds, other than the reminiscent layout and theme they may as well be all new. Mario Kart 8 - Retro Track Comparison - Eurogamer

Pretty sure they've all had maps/overlays indicating racers locations. No comment on possible AI cheating.. The MK's are some of the most accessible games ever, yet have just enough depth to keep them fun.

If you still have the double clickers, try taking them apart and clean the click buttons, works like a charm. (using my old/first gen double clicker at work right now :D )

The oldest one still works but needs disassembly/cleaning every now and then, or it starts double clicking (first gen). Have several Explorer 3.0's that still work fine, but the resolution is so low.. yeach..

If anyone was still wondering about power draw, got mine configured finally. Running dual quads 2384 2.7ghz, 16gb ram (8x 2gb) and 8 7200rpm drives in a win 2012 storage pool. Antec 500w earthwatts +4 120mm fans around 1000rpm (quiet enough). Just puttering around windows its showing...

Doh! didn't look for anything over 8GB.. Ah well, 16gb should be plenty :o

Everyone else's look brand new? Can't find a trace of dust or wear marks anywhere, fans look perfectly clean/new. Still smells like new PC guts inside, intoxicating :p Arrived well packed, clean mem test, now to wait for extra ram and CPU's to show up. :o
