Talk about a blast in time, I had a couple around the 50-55% range and it ran perfectly fine but dang that "close to wearout" is really troubling. Long shot but try another pcie lane and you might get a little more?
Have a picture of this? Do you mean allowing the fans to be ontop of the fan tray? If so thats what I been wanting to do for a long time haha.
Don't know about ya'll, but the amount of money I spent on RGB and the case was worth it, for a long time my daughter would look at the cool lights in...
No this due to MAP policies, I know the retailer who does these deals since I used to buy all my TVs from them and they been more cautious now then before.
I suspect they got in trouble for being so public before.
I say stick with stock firmware for now unless you find some quirks then swap to V28.
I own a couple PG42UQ and there’s definitely some interesting quirks on the original firmware haha
Don't have the horizontal line issue however my DP port on two out of the six that I have are having issues coming back from sleep. This is all with the same FW.
PG42UQ even with V031 definitely has firmware issues that needs to be worked on. Was using my i1display pro plus to read brightness with the W11 HDR calibration and depending which setting I applied first and then change to, I was able to force a 50-100 nit increase.
This has been a huge issue on the TV side for a while especially on Sony TV sets. You had beautiful panels limited by the MediaTek SOC for connectivity which is quite sad.
Like other's said it's M6 but the spacing is 300x300mm so be on the lookout for that. My TV vesa brackets didn't work and had to buy this to fit onto a 100x100mm bracket.
DP signal is being recognized less and less. I know it's not the cable or port on the GPU because I did all the swaps and I'm using both on the same computer.
I want to say it’s some kind of burn in/image retention, wasn’t there on day 1. Going have to use a laptop to see lol.
It’s just luck, I had a 3rd one that was exactly like yours and returned it asap
Ouch that’s some poor luck, my third panel was like this and it went straight back. My two original were a lot better, about the same to my C2 so was happy with that.
As for the banding, I have seen it gone away significantly with my older OLED sets but it require putting a lot of hours and a...
Loving it! My issue with the C2 and even the C1 was that sometimes I would see rainbow colors around text and haven't noticed anything like that on the PG42UQ! It's definitely a niche preference for this monitor but worth every penny since I'm using these displays about 10 hours a day.
Wasn't sure if you were the one to be annoyed by it, but the input and settings change where it goes blank does indeed take a good bit then traditional monitors and even the LG C2.
It's definitely based on the settings and tweaks used for Asus.
Using a 5% window on SDR mode in W10 doing some quick and dirty testing.
LG 48" C2 @ Sports with 100% OLED brightness - 280 nits.
PG42UQ - Cinema Mode (6500K) @ 100% Brightness - 270 nits
PG42UQ - Cinema Mode (7500K) @ 100%...
You can forget the onboard speakers, they are terrible!
It's definitely YMMV, with the V028 on Asus' website, HDR performance is slightly better and brighter then the original firmware.
In pitch darkness did you feel the matte adds a different feel/vibe to the picture? I still can't quite...
I haven’t switch to the newest firmware or tune the picture settings but using some of the presets on original firmware I can definitely attest to this.
The AG also makes it feel different, just different. One thing I’m loving is how smooth this set is compare to my C2
