I'm currently using a X5650 @4ghz watercooled, 18gb ram, 780TI and 1080P 140Hz Asus monitor. It will be SEVEN years with the same motherboard. I changed the videocard a few times and CPU one time, to the current xeon six cores- twelve threads.
I'll travel to USA on October and would be...
I'll manage to back up my files in an external usb disk.
Regarding the OS and data disk:
- keep my two 7200.10 320GB in raid0 for OS and buy a new bigger disk for data? $85 upgrade
- two velociraptor 150 in raid 0 and keep data on my old 320GB disks? $360 upgrade
As the title says, I'm running my system OS on two 7200.10 320GB on RAID 0. I have a 750GB WD where I keep all my media. I don't keep my emails and pictures on a second drive, I need to start to do some sort of back up, since I don't have any for my raid setup.
I'm not following the recent...
ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP vs. GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R
I'll buy a new mobo for a Q6600 next week and now I narrowed my search for these two boards.
Which one is a better overclocker for a quad? I'll watercool the quad and video card.
The asus has heatsinks on the mosfets and Wi-fi for $26 more.
thank you all guys.
I already have a SI-120 in my other mobo and I got pretty good results on my X2 3800.
Inside the fusion I`ll install a C2D E2140 and I wanted to try to OC it.
I'll try to find a tower heatsink that fits, until now the si-128 is on my list.
anyone knows what maximum height for the CPU heatsink? I'm thinking about the Apack ZEROtherm BTF90 but at frostytech.com they said it is 126mm high.
Anyone who has the case could measure the distance so I can choose the heatsink?
