Hello All,
I had taken a bit of a break but am back for my step dad. He has recently retired and he is putting together some of my old computers to teach my nieces and nephews) how to build and work on computers.
In my pile of parts, I had an old motherboard that would accept a FX-6300...
Even though the prices are still crazy high, it is nice to see that the EVGA B-stock did not sell out of video cards.
https://www.evga.com/products/ProductList.aspx?type=8
I still see 1080 TIs and 2080 TIs that were listed there yesterday.
EVGA 1080 TIs are listed for 629$. Ebay is selling...
I can't image how much it hurts for the 2080 TI users, but I have to agree. They will just have to eat the cost if they are thinking about upgrading to the 30 series. However, if they can wait, the 2080 TI still has plenty of life in it. Perhaps they can wait till the next generation.
Ouch, insult to injury. Well, hope you get some enjoyment today out of it =).
It is encouraging to see that forum prices for video cards are going down though. 5700 XT was posted in the 300s. Good trend. Hopefully, the downward spiral will continue!
Looking back at the poster's original question: Something that I have also kept in mind is, how much do I actually game? In the past, it was more frequent, but now that I have a family, I game once a week or every other week, so my return of investment is lower then others. If I was gaming every...

Sorry to hear about your situation and that you can no longer build PCs.
I noticed this seller had a few old systems that might fill requirements (probably on the low end, but they seem economical).

When I was 6, the NES Lone Ranger sometimes would grind my gears. You would think a guy was behind a wall or something and some how you would die by getting hit by a bad guy shooting through a corner.
Great news is, prices are coming down. Feb 2021 you were spending about 700$ - 900$ on a 1080 TI. Now they are starting to hit the $400 on Ebay.
October 2020 I bought a 1080 TI for 315$. We are getting back to that level.

Hello All,

Hello All,
I am going to close my thread. I didn't realize how low 570 4GB video cards are going and that card should get me by until (Hopefully) the market continues to look better for video cards.
