Yeah I don't know anyone who would be willing to plop down more than $400 for a console right now...in my state when we are in a quarantine. It's going to hurt a lot of purses for the next couple of months.
Since this is used for production are you going overclock at all or no? If you are running more than 2 ram modules I'd definitely recommend the 2700 or 2700x for the better IMC, but if its just 2 ram modules then 1700 should be more than enough as the price increase ain't worth it.
I would take that 570 8gb and clock it to the moon, but tbh I don't trust mail in rebate. So I would recommend getting a used 390x or a used fury. If ya go the used route remember to get new thermal pads or some paste.
Edit: or get a used 1060
So in my quest for better temperatures I tried to apply conductonaut to the gpu well after applying liquid electrical tape. The PC managed to boot into windows somehow without any display output as I heard the windows chime. I removed the cooler and it looked like I should have applied more, but...
I don't think relying on synthetic benchmarks is a good way to gauge real-world performance; anyways to put into perspective a G3258 oced to 4.5ghz gave performance almost on par with FX 8350 (almost) and exceeded it greatly in games that only required 1/2 cores.
I overclocked mine to 4.5ghz @ 1.45v so I would constantly need my fans to run @ max. Anyways if any of you were in my shoes for 144hz freesync gaming would you stay with an FX 8350 or go with an i5 (both paired with a R9 290x). Obviously I'd go with an i5, but I wonder why anyone would go with...
I picked up an i5 3570k + mobo so I can lower fan noise and heat from my R9 290x + FX 8320e (4.5ghz) set-up. Was this a wise decision since winter is coming to California and I relied on this set-up as a heater or is the performance jump on a 1080p 144hz freesync monitor (48-144) that much...
At school I usually call my friend or friends faggots as a greeting. I've done it so much to a point where it lost its real meaning. The same thing can be said about retard too. Gotta love when I start yelling faggot at my friend then proceed to call him a retard with everybody looking my way...
Arriving tomorrow is my GTX 780 HOF and I was thinking I'd swap out the stock cooler and use my H90 on it. I'm planning on clocking this baby to the moon. So far I took a quick glance @ the reference and HOF PCB (List of GTX 780s) and it looks like I might be able to do the swap. The only thing...
Not sure how well your nephew can play the waiting game, but if he could wait then waiting for the 1060 to come out would be good to see how it compares to the RX 480. If he can't wait that long then shooting for an AIB RX 480 would be good. If he can't literally wait any longer and considering...
I was so eager to buy a RX 480, but due to no stock I settled in getting a 780 to pull me over until the halo cards come out and drop down in price. 2 months without a working, gameable gpu sucks. Thank god a 9500gt can play The Banner Saga 2.
When will this be a standard option for amd drivers? The maker of radeon pro did get hired by amd so I thought it would've been right away that this option would be added. Not that I have a problem using radeon pro its just that I'm puzzled why it hasn't (vsync looks gorgeous smoothness wise and...
So I migrated my H90 to my fx 8320e from my hd 7950 and I accidentally forgot to plug in the pump. I started computer 4-5 times and all auto shutdown. The last time it did I read the temperature reading @ 90c. What kind of damage would've been done to my processor @ this temp if any at all?
