I would use the older version of Solidworks. Fusion360 is like sticking forks in your eye. I would rather turn tricks at a truck stop than have to use it for anything complex.
In all seriousness... Fusion360 is fine for making a...
I played for a couple of hours. Ran and felt great on my 4090. Looks great too.
I think they made great use of the D2 Resurrected team. So, glad to see it isn’t cartoony. Think this may be the game for me this year.
It's even more ridiculous when you read the comments and people are crying about 720[/1080p benchmarks. Like they can't grasp that you are trying to see how fast the cpu is relative to others with the the gpu limits removed. Like say a cpu is 40% faster than another in a low resolution but...
FPS seems higher to me. I was getting 90-110 in the raven claw common room, now I am getting 123-127. Running around the castle im over my 120hz refresh rate more often.
Wish I could have done a proper test before the update.
I previously complained about frame generation. I have it sorted...
I have been pleasantly surprised by this game. I have a hard time finding games that can hold my interest, but this one fits the bill.
I am not a Harry Potter fanatic. I was originally coaxed into watching the movies by my mother as I had passed on them thinking they were kids movies, but...
I agree that it shouldn't be spewing bigoted crap, but the definition of bigoted crap changes based on who you are talking to or your zip code.
I would rather have it unfiltered with a boiler plate about how the data is aggregated from web sources and that they are not to be taken as fact...
You don't think that the pre-canned responses will become more in depth? or that even a pre-canned response refusing to answer because the topic is immoral will not shape the views of an adolescent or the weak minded?
Things have changed tremendously with the rise of internet. People "google"...
The bias programming in these AI is disturbing. I would imagine googles would be worse.
You can role play with chat gpt to bypass its bias programming. Look into the Dan prompt.
It will give you completely reasonable answers to political questions when roleplaying as an AI with out...
Been watching some 3.18 content the past couple of days. It is going to be a game changer. So much content is going to come from persistence.
Just the ship wreckage staying is going to add a lot. Imagine flying around and finding a wrecked cargo ship and looting all of the cargo or being down...
You guys know that you can just run a few missions and rent a ship and a roc to make the money for a prospector. Then you can grind out anything in the game.
I agree with you on quake. I don’t think a bit of modernization would hurt counter strike though.
I started playing counterstrike when it was a mod for half life. Long before steam was even a thing. I also played source for a few years.
When Call of Duty 4 came out I went pretty hard into...
After 3.17.2 dropped. I was reading global chat and some guys where talking about how cheap in game credits were.
I had been grinding asteroids for days. I normally enjoy space mining, but half of the asteroids were glitched or my quantanium would glitch to inert while landing.
I said to hell...
All I did was upgrade to a a freelancer, so that I could more easily rent a roc after a wipe to get boot strapped. Might eventually just move up to the prospector.
I love the game, BUT I am not currently playing it.
It is too buggy.
You get yeeted out of your ship, the ui stops working. You have to eat and drink, but it glitches to where you can’t hold food or drink in your hands. The same bug affects tools and weapons.
These bugs are not rare...
Maybe they are talking about ipc since the 40 series is close to 3ghz stock.
I have no idea how much low hanging fruit there is on the tensor and rt cores. I remember reading the tensor cores do relatively simple fast matrix math. May be one of those things where it is more cost...
AdoredTV is a fanboy.
Some games are hard to see if raytracing is doing anything. Look at examples like Spider-Man,Cyberpunk,Control. The quake,quake2,doom rt ports, Minecraft.
Hell, raytracing on Minecraft is so effective. I always feel compelled to dig out bases on the coast line and...
Take a look at these two GPU-Z captures. If you compare the pixel and texture fill rates between the 4090 and the 3090 you get a 2.3 to 2.5x improvement, similar to jumping from a 7800gtx to somewhere between a GTX280 and GTX480. Pretty staggering jump in pixel and texturing throughput for one...
Found a tip while running hydra. On CCD0 Core 1&3 I couldn't do any negative offset. In the manual for hydra it states you should Set LLC to Auto. I changed it to that and -12 on Core 0, -10 core 3 works with 125mhz boost override. Not only that all of the cores are undervolted much...
I played it with my son pretty obsessively for several months a few years ago, while my wife was finishing her degree out of state. There’s no way I can put the time into it now.
It was a rush and had insane highs and lows, my main complaint was that like all the unity engine games the gun...
Btw I have my card flashed to pull 600watts over the 3 cable adapter. My psu wires appear to be 16ga. I set the power limit to around 520watts to remove 99% of power throttling and haven’t had a problem.
I had my 4090 in hand on launch day. There was already talk of the connector being delicate and to not over bend it close to the connector.
When initially installing it. I pre-bent the wires before plugging them in to align with my pcie cables, while being careful to not disturb the wires...
I don't know if anyone else uses Solidworks here, but I backed up/wiped my boot drive yesterday because I didn't clean install when upgrading to my 7950X.
I clean installed Solidworks 2022 SP5 and shockingly real view worked out of the box with my 4090. I didn't import any settings. Just moved...
600 watt bios that works on the MSI Trio. Change file extension to “.rom”.
Clocks are set a bit higher on this one. Stock bios had to go over +200 to get over 3000Mhz this one needs around +120.
Works with the stock 12pin adapter… probably should check your psu wire gauge. I tested it...
Read on overclock.net that someone was getting over 450watts with his MSI TRIO after flashing with stock 3 cable adapter last night.
Flashed mine to check it out and can confirm. I was able to pull 511 watts on the 3 cable adapter at +108 power limit after flashing the Suprim X bios.
Mines a...
Thanks for the info.
I was having hell getting accurate measurements.
I found out they sell compound slotted rulers for measuring fitting distance. I’ll pick one of those up and setup a jig on a board.
I went through 3 500 mm tubes before I had one that worked. Ended up just eyeballing it and...
I have always heard that custom loops aren’t worth it other than for looks and sound levels. Decided to go for my first build due to how hot my 7950x is
Seems to be worth it for my 7950x.
$350 not counting the heat gun.
Heat killer IV pro
Alphacool Nexxos 45mm rad
Alphacool VP655 pump with...
I finally tamed the beast. My 7950x was running 95c in cinebench with clocks dropping to a bit under 5.1ghz
I lapped the bejesus out of it and built a custom loop.
Heat killer IV pro
Alphacool nexxos 45mm rad
Alphacool vp655 D5 pump
6 ek 120mm fans
Now it’s 86c. At 5.38ghz. Need to work...
I tested it out on my 7950x & 4090 in 4k. Stations and space were often over 100fps.
Area 18 was 70-90 and yeah you have to wait on shaders to compile before it smooths out.
The notches are chamfered, but it looks like a channel runs in a bit. It was hard to capture with a camera.
I don't know if it came that way, or if the AIO caused it. I think that would be enough for it to pump out with the heat load of a 7950x.
If you look back at my original post. I think...
Pretty sure I solved the problem. It did it again, so I lapped the bitch took about .3mm off. Dropped temps 5c in Firestrike.
Cinebench r23 still pegs out 95, but takes a few seconds to get there instead of instantly now. That is using my old MX-4 that was performing pretty meh before the...
Not really. I have a Corsair H150 that I am handing down to my son with my 9900k, but lost the amd bracket a couple of years ago.. Guess I could order one.
I’ll check that out. Hopefully no returns.
