Hey guys, its been awhile since I've gone monitor hunting ever since I got my PG278Q. I recently got into photo editing and I need a monitor that produces colors accurately. I will be editing photos to have them printed.
Do you guys have any suggestions that would fit the following criteria...
As good as they are, I can't use those fans because they don't fit the theme of my build. And I think the industrial black noctua versions are way too overpriced.
In the end, I chose the new Fractal Venturi HF12 and HF14. I saw some reviews on it and decided it was pretty darn good for what it...
Does anyone know of any good case fans for pure airflow? I just bought 12 GT's for my rads and I have 2 free spaces for a 120mm intake and a 120mm exhaust fan. I prefer the quiet fans with decent airflow.
Asic quality is 78.2%. I'm not using any specific bios, I worked with someone on overclock.net to mod the bios. This is only for the EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified. Flash at your own risk.
1455.5 mhz boost / 7012 mhz memory
150% power limit...
So I've done some further testing on my 980 Ti Classified and it seems that I am able to play games with no crashes at all on 1514.8/8552. Playing Witcher 3 for 3 hours will yield temperatures as high as 77C. Heaven running for 7 hours will get me as high as 79C. These temps are with an...
Compared with my previous Gigabyte G1 980 Ti, the EVGA Classified does run a few degrees hotter. I had that one on with a modded bios which boosted to 1481 which I overclocked to about 1495. After a few minutes in heaven, the G1 temps would reach about 73. This was around 75% fan usage. The...
Never mind, it seems that my fan curve is set to around 85% in that temp range. But it does still hover around 76-77C a few minutes into Heaven at 1440p.
Just got my EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified today. Here are some benchmark results:
I loaded up heaven in the background to show load clocks. These clocks are benchmark stable, I haven't tested regular gaming yet. Surprised the memory OC'd so high. Temps reach about 77C max with fan at 100%. Can't...
I build new systems for friends and family every once in awhile so lugging around a heavy and bulky 17 inch square LCD back and forth can sometimes be a PITA. Does anyone have a small and lightweight space saving monitor they can recommend me? Resolution does not matter, but it does need to...
It does feel like it is not performing on par with the HOF branding, and at this point I feel like I should have waited for the EVGA Classified or gone with a different brand. With the voltage being locked to 1.2 there's really nothing I can do other than wait for a modded HOF 980 Ti BIOS. Btw...
Upon further testing during gaming, it seems even a 40 mhz clock was too much for longer term stability. I defaulted back to stock clocks, which isn't bad since it boosts to 1430 mhz normally.
Here is a screenshot of my GPU-Z
My first impressions:
The card seems to have a voltage limitation of 1.2v. I only get a +40 mhz overclock which leads to a 1470 mhz boost clock, anything higher will result in immediate crashes. While I did not test long term stability, it passes FireStrike Ultra with a score of 4667 (i7 4770K...
Order finally shipped out yesterday, it looks like it'll get to me on the 14th.
On a side note, the GALAX shipping notification email was in my spam box (gmail).
At that price point AMD cards would be a better buy such as the R9 380 or the R9 280X since they have the better performance but if youre going Nvidia you have two likely options:
1. New 4GB GTX 960
2. Used GTX 970
I would probably recommend EVGA if you care about the best customer...
Doesn't matter what your desktop refresh rate is as long as you game in full-screen. You can usually set the refresh rate through the game's settings but if that isn't available you can edit the settings under program settings in the Manage 3D Settings tab. You'll be out of luck if you use...
Quoting this exactly from the 2nd link you provided:
"4K definitely demands more VRAM out of GTA V. We saw maximum usage come near 5GB with maximum in-game settings. Therefore, 4GB VRAM video cards will be a bottleneck in this game at 4K."
Titan X is a single card yet its hitting 4.7GB and...
I preordered this the first day I saw it. It has a pending charge on my paypal, but paypal did not draw funds from my account yet. I don't think they will draw the money until they are ready to ship.
EDIT: Never mind, I just saw my account get charged just now. Looks like they did not charge it...
One guy installed the Arctic Accerelo Extreme IV. Claims to have about 60C under load.

Is Galaxy still selling cards in the US under a different name? I feel like the Galaxy HOF series were just about the equivalent of Sapphire's Vapor-X in terms how nice the coolers looked.
Personally, I've only bought from Zotac and EVGA. I found that EVGA has the best customer service but high prices while Zotac has the lowest prices with decent performance.
Does anyone else have opinions on the other nvidia AIB companies? How are the ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte cards in terms of...
Well, I am intending on using Eclipse IDE and I hear that the programs buttons do not scale correctly. People are saying the icons are so small to the point that its unreadable.
I hear 200% scaling is fine with text, but it seems like the majority of the complaints come from things being too...
Right now it seems like 3200x1800 (QHD+) is all the craze for the high end ultrabooks. But when I see all the horrible scaling issues people seem to be getting during web browsing and use of certain programs, it makes me want to turn away from it. Windows 8.1 isn't known for scaling too well on...
