I think Nvidia is playing with the Cuda Core numbers a bit, as in using a different definition than the 20x0 series. I'm also guessing their "x is 2 times faster than y" benchmark in the presentation was probably in RTX. I have a hard time believing a 3080 is that much faster than a 2080ti in...
YoutubeTV has a lot of what DTVNow has (probably more now), plus a very well done DVR. If I were to switch from cable that's probably the route I'd go.
Starship Troopers 2 is one of the worst movies ever made. IIRC, they had LEDs in the barrel of the rifles that were supposed to look like lasers. God awful.
To each their own, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Black Panther. The plot was boring, and Brie Larson's acting was wooden. The cat was the best part.
They're going to need to either add quests, or even better, allow players to create their own quests with rewards. Otherwise I see this turning into another Conan or Ark, sans dinos.
According to the Anandtech review, the Radeon VII sometimes wins, sometimes loses to the RTX 2080 @ 4k. It's just a few percent either way. The RTX 2080 tends to win at 1080 and 1440.
Emulating the PS4 on PS5 should be dead easy, considering they're both x86 ISA. If Microsoft can emulate the Xbox 360 on the One, Sony should be able to emulate the PS3 on the PS5.
Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light got review bombed on Steam after the publisher said it was make Metro Exodus an Epic store exclusive. Thing is, with the Steam review system you can ignore all reviews in the last 30 days when something like that happens. Sweeny Tim is just an ass.
The team behind Ark and Atlas are sketchy as hell. Releasing a paid expansion for Ark when the game wasn't even out of early access yet is pretty pathetic.
Don't know about the rest of the world, but new homes in the US are pre-wired, and for some they still mostly use Cat5e. Your multi-paragraph rant about multi-gig ethernet (1/2.5/5/10g) is ridiculous, though they should have used the Aquantia AQC107 which provides 10g in addition to 5g.
If you read the fine print on the Intel site, their benchmark results are based on "projections" for the 48c CPU, vs actual results for the EPYC CPU (with SMT turned off).
