Exactly, this was one major issue a lot of people had. They were marketing it as giving consumers a choice, but in reality they were artificially limiting the selection for each tier of rewards.

Keep in mind that these are not what they used to be. I believe a year or two ago they changed the materials used and from what I hear, the quality went down.

Lync needs some bug fixing. The mobile apps are unreliable at best. Not sure if it's our environment. Maybe they'll polish it more now?

I use Actual Multiple Monitors, which definitely does #1. Not sure about #2, but it also has a nice trail period.

These incremental updates that create comparability issues are annoying, for a company who's demographic will have trouble distinguish what the "new" and "old" 3DS's are. Just make a new handheld and name it something else. Regardless, the new buttons and hardware look interesting.

It just looks like they're trying to make an "HD" version. Same maps, same gameplay. The original is fantastic, mind you, but the fact that i remember these maps from 10 years ago says a lot.
