I really wish I knew why - there is absolutely no reason for it not to be in there. Good news is if you turn it off in Simpleton mode then switch back to Advanced it stays off. I refuse to install extra poorly coded software to disable ridiculous lights that I don't need or care about.
As it...
I'll give it a go. Currently on 1.2.0.2 working on my curve optimizer setup, haven't bothered seeing if my RAM can do 3800 CL14 yet. Haven't had any USB issues since I built this rig 9 months ago or so
IIRC the previous beta was based on 1.2.0.1, as I just flashed that when they were like oh here is 1.2.0.2 and I didn't update for over a month.
I can report that I am now on 1.2.0.2 with no issues/instability problems. I don't use that live update crap, you can trust Windows to fuck up somehow...
I mine Monero in my spare time. I noticed a hash rate increase from about 14,200 H/s to 15,500 H/s. That's a pretty decent gain after switching to 1.2.0.1.
Edit: It appears that if you were on AGESA 1.2.0.0 which had a bug with L3 cache performance this will benefit you, prior versions do not...
If you go into the 'normie' BIOS mode there is a toggle to disable those LEDs right on the main page. I've yet to find the setting in the advance view. I believe the default key to switch between normal & advance BIOS is F7. Once you disable it in normal it persists if you go back into Advance.
Used for the past month as a place holder until I could get a 5900X. Kept nice and cool under a 360 AIO. I also tested it with a 3700X Wraith Prism cooler - this chip does not the running hot issue. Temps maxed out 55-60C under stress load.

I figured it out, you are right I did miss one single setting. I have to use Geardown Mode for it to work properly, despite not wanting to use it. I can post 1T and do things throughout Windows for a while but the second I try to benchmark or stress it's insta blue screen. There goes an evening lol
After reverting my bios back to 1.51 I was still crashing. I missed 1 single setting...completely forgot I had to use Geardown Mode to achieve those clocks. After this - 1.5 is working great. There goes this evening lol.
I wish I didn't have to use Geardown Mode - hurts the memory bandwidth...
Just updated my MSI X570 Tomahawk to the Agesa 1.2.0.0 release - my 3800/1900 CL14 memory overclock isn't stable anymore. So far, not even at 3400...wtf
Edit: I missed a setting
Just updated to 7C84v15 from 7C84v151 and my memory overclock is no longer stable, at all. Was previously running 3800/1900 with CL14 timings (Samsung b die). I've lowered the RAM down to so far 3400 and still not stable....BSOD with any benchmark. this is annoying..
Edit: Another observation...
Thanks for that clarification and the bump! I planned to eventually use this at the wife's desk for her laptop but she doesn't really have a use for a dedicated GPU.
I'm at stage right before you are lol. It's been really eating at me the past 3-4 days while the excitement of Ryzen 5000 gets drained from me - not being able to push clocks because of a beta bios "bug" that who knows when will be addressed. Someone on here kept saying beginning of December but...
I've been screwing with my x570 Tomahawk the past 3-4 days with a 5800X. Currently vCore offset is broken and will lock you to stock clocks/no boost with PBO enabled. Override does work but I'm finding my chip runs much hotter, even with 1.33-1.35v to the point I hit throttle and clocks drop to...
I miss living 1 hour from 2 Micro Centers...now it's a 5 hour drive one way and stock has been super limited. WTB Micro Center buddy to snatch a 5900X for me
Dang I like that idea. I've been happy with this Xonar Essence STX ever since I got it, drives my ATH-900X very well but in Windows 10 it randomly has a bug to where it starts an extremely high pitch tone that is deafening...apparently it's an issue with Windows 10 - quite unpleasant.
How do...
Got this about a year ago due to downsizing/moving but still wanting to play some games. Used a RTX 2070 Super inside of it for a few months till I got settled in at the new place with more space. Bought a Cable Matters Active 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 6.6' Cable since the factory one is way too...
If USPS ever decides to deliver my 5800X - I've got a 4x8GB set of 3200 CL16 CJR SR & a 2x16GB set of 3200 CL16 D-die DR that does 3600 CL16. I know the consensus is 4 ranks is the winner but I like to tinker - will post results.
I check my bookmarked links for 5900X from time to time throughout the day - not sure why I bother lmao. From what I've witnessed stock is gone in under a minute of being reported, really disappointing for now.
