Well... Having RGB fans will definitely kick in the acid flashbacks from the 70's while the PSU will energize my archaic unit back to life with reliable power.
Have a 640GT connected to 2 HDMI splitters to send signal to 2 24" monitors (1929x1080) and 2 48" LG TV Monitors (720p). Monitors are set for "extended" desktop view. This setup worked for awhile but recently have to disconnect the feed to the cpu monitors before turning on the TV monitors...
Just received my PA248 today and don't see any pixel defects...looks uniform across panel.... bleed in the corners but has beautiful color. Came from a dell 2005FPW and feels good :-) ... alas my wife begs to differ on my spending. :-)
Been sitting on the fence over one of the Korean monitors ( most likely a crossover 27QLED-P ) or the "safer" route of a new Asus PA248Q. I ordered the Asus but it doesn't ship for another week from Amazon and the more I read the more I seem to want the Korean monitor and want to cancel the...
Thanks for input....
I was concerned a little after seeing some of the read/writes of other ssd's compared to the m4.
One of my main reasons for the M4 was hearing about the reliability of the crucial ssd.
Just received my Crucial M4 256 ($203) 2 days ago for my new gaming & photo editing build....
Haven't placed operating system (win 7 Ultimate) on yet, should I get the Samsung 830 256gb ($209 currently) instead for my boot drive or will I not really notice the difference in real world usage...
Currently looking at the same upgrade to go with my windforce gtx 670 and contemplating the Korean from green-sum seller on ebay YAMAKASI CATLEAP Q270 SE or the new Asus PA248Q

Will my 670 gtx have a hard time with the...

I live in Central California where it goes 100+ during the summer with frequent brown-outs.
Always wondered how much life is taken from electronics with brown-outs and how to prevent damage to my cpu's, flat screen and sound system.
Was reading this subject about power outages and was wondering what the effect is with "brown-outs" and computer longevity?
Would a UPS protect against the brown-outs or do I need to purchase a line conditioner?
Looking at OP specs, would the Kingwin LZP 550 have enough power to run system effectively?
I am building system for my son and will use almost identical items except a i5 2500k (OC) and either a 7950 or 6970 gpu.

Power has never been an issue since the change.
Looking forward to adding their 500R white case to my new build and 850HX power supply.
Sure would look nice under the Christmas tree and save me some...
Platimax 850 would offer my new build the luxury of clean, quiet and efficient power at a great price! :D
Have used Enermax in my setup since my son turned me on to their power supplies about 5 years ago.

Currently running 2GB Corsair Dominator (2x1GB) PC2 8500 with e6600 cpu. I'm going to upgrade to 4 or 8 GB GSkill 1000 (5.5.5.15) or GSkill black 800 (4.4.4.12) settings.
Is there much difference noticed between 4 and 8 with the bulk of the usage being video, web browsing and gaming...
