Yeah, I don't think many will care about people who normally get paid the same whether they work hard or hardly work.
Also, if AMD can survive for years while hemorrhaging money, I think Intel will come out the other aide fine.
Did you forget that AMD identified a "small" batch of the defective vapor chambers? I do. That means they should know which cards were affected; and yet AMD chose to not issue a recall of those units. So, they either know which units were affected and should coordinate with their partners to...
I literally told you someone posted tight here in this thread.
Go back and read it yourself.
And no, you'll just defend AMD and give them yet another pass. Good job.
Edit: This issue is their responsibility to fix, full stop.
Funny enough, I have worked retail. And returning products back onto the sales floor even when a defect is found is not uncommon, in fact it's an every day practice. But hey, keep burring your head in the sand and giving AMD another pass.
Yeah, it's not like someone just posted having the same problem that's at the heart of the still current issue with a brand new card 6 posts before yours. How silly of us to come to what is at this point an obvious conclusion.
You heard it here, boys. AMD doesn't have an issue, nothing to see...
You would figure that it's obvious that anyone who purchases such a product already threw caution to the wind when it comes to power draw; and yet we get people cracking jokes about extreme products. Look no further than the 4090 Ti thread. The only humorous part is those cracking jokes aren't...
Interesting take, but reality is seldomly that interesting. The reality is we were stuck on quad cores because AMD didn't have shit that could compete with those 4 cores. Had intel pushed their advantage, I doubt AMD would even still be around. Sad, but true. :meh:
I guess that's the pit fall of having most of these developments primarily on consoles. They tend to be tailored to a very narrow set of hardware that rarely gets upgraded. I do, however, fully believe that the game developers should be putting more effort into properly supporting these...
No matter how idiot-proof you make anything, there will always be an idiot to out-idiot the idiot-proof. Never underestimate the stupidity of humanity. :coffee:
User submitted time codes, it never assumes, everyone just pitches in by reporting start and end times of sponsor segments if you run across a video that has not yet been. I'm there 3+ years I've been using it I've had to report maybe 6 videos total, so there is definitely a ton of people...
Fair enough, I can't really speak for their reputation outside of the US, so I'll take you at your word on it.
What?!?!? Since when is speaking an opinion (a well founded one at that) hate and bitterness? All I can think of is EVGA fanboyism, but you don't rub me that way so w/e.
Maybe, but...
GN has 3 videos total of EVGA dark board reviews, 1 from a year ago, 1 from 3 years ago, and 1 from 5 years ago. HU has no content on EVGA Dark board, neither does Debauer. Just how known do you think they are for those boards when there's basically crumbs of content on them? Here's some food...
Guessing you have never heard of a loss leader? EVGA just buried their loss leader, and as such will slowly but surely proceed to be forgotten; unless they do something to stay in the public eye, like said video.
I don't blame most people for not seeing through their thinly veiled attempt at...
All well and good, but they have absolutely no reason to show this at all except to stay fresh in people's minds. They know full well that their GPU side of the business was THE business. And like they say, there's a sucker born every minute.
Different amount of VRAM, different bandwidth; it is NOT apples to apples. FULL STOP
Edit: I will also be ignoring this bullshit comparison from here on out as it is already so far off topic that this thread should already get scrubbed.
No one is using power consumption as a metric, that was my point.
Everything is wrong with his math, again, apples to oranges. [H] has been a staunch voice against this type of bullshit comparisons for decades.
No, it's not; no matter how hard you pretend it to be so.
Again, apples to oranges.
A burnt 8 pin? But AMDs marketing told us that 8 pins were safe!
But really, I would contact EVGA to see if they will replace it, before they go under.
You are comparing apples to oranges. Whatever you think you've seen so far is incorrect, plain and simple. Different amount of VRAM, different bandwidth and a different architecture. The fact that the 4080 can perform far above a 3080 all while consuming considerably less power should tell you...
This is incredibly flawed. You are assuming that the 3080 and 4080 behave the same clock for clock, and just this fact alone should invalidate your math. Does anyone have a source for any clock for clock benches?
Without clock for clock benches, both lines of thinking are neither proven nor...
This is what happens when you think you can be cheeky and get away unscathed.
It's like watching someone open their mouth just to insert their foot. :banghead:
Did the people who design and build these things ever walk around their city/town? Most places have terrible walking architecture. Hell, most of the US has garbage for bicycle infrastructure and they can't seem to fix something as simple as bike lanes.
