    SB Overclocking results?

I had speed step enabled so I turned on another burn test in the background to display the correct Ghz in CPU-Z once the burn test was completed. It shows my max temps in Real Temp in those screen shots. 5.0Ghz 79C and 4.8Ghz 67C. I too would have a BSOD at 5Ghz at 1.4v and thus needed to bump...

Poll: 1155 boards - Working fine vs. Not Working

Fixed all my 2600k issues by changing the VRM Freq from Auto to 350 on my Asus P8P67 Deluxe. Some quick tests showed stable on 1.35v @ 4.8Ghz and 1.47v @ 5.0Ghz. Previous to this change I could not boot into windows above 4.5.

This little VRM Frequency setting just changed my world! I had all the other settings already and could not boot in above 4.5GHz to save my life. Just the change of the VRM to 350 allowed me to hit 5.0GHz with a stable Intel burn in test. Had to bump my CPU to 1.475, max temp hit 78C. Thanks...

    Asus P8P67 Pro SSD issues

Make sure you install the "Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver software V10.0.0.1046 for Windows 32/64bit XP/Vista 32bit/Vista 64bit/Win7 32bit/Win7 64bit--(WHQL)" Link That driver alone changed my Windows user experience for hard drive performance from 5.8 to 7.7 for my SSD.

Took my i5 750 from 2.6Ghz to 4Ghz using 4 DIMMs of memory at max speed and timings:1600Mhz CL7. It was a non-issue on my P55 and I imagine the P67 is even more stable.

    Asus P8P67 Pro SSD issues

I assume by SATA 300 you mean the Sata 3 6Gbs port? I too have the Intel X25-M G2 and a 2600K and Asus P8P67 Deluxe. I'm trying to figure out which SATA port I should plug into? Theoretically it won't saturate the SATA II 3Gbs ports so I'm thinking that would be best and I shouldn't even plug...

    1155 mobo with 16x2 lanes

Thanks for the clarification Dan. Interesting... so if I went Xfire or SLI I would be getting x16 on the first card and x8 on the second. In real world usage do you think we're getting any appreciable difference by using x16x8 with the P67 over x16x16 with the x58 mobos?

    1155 mobo with 16x2 lanes

Can you reference some reviews on this? It's not that I don't believe it but when I used to run 4850's Xfired I noticed a big difference when I stepped up to a x16x16 mobo. Thanks!
  28. P

    1155 mobo with 16x2 lanes

It's true that the high end P67 mother boards have 2 x16 lanes.. however when you add 2 video cards they each run at x8. It's my understanding that this limitation applies to all P67 boards.

What Sata 6 controller for P67?

In all the benches the Intel chipset is far superior to the Marvell.. makes you wonder why they even included the Marvell and instead went with 4 x Intel 6 GBs sata.

What Sata 6 controller for P67?

Here's the Asus P67 P8P67 boards, as you can see below you'd want to use the (gray) ports for 6.0 Gb/s through the intel chipset.. instead of the the slower Marvell which are (navy blue) Intel® P67 Express Chipset 2 xSATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (gray) 4 xSATA 3.0 Gb/s ports (blue) Intel® Rapid...

ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution Motherboard Review @ [H]

Kyle have you tested the OC on this with the 1000 bios? It seems quite a few are grabbing the ASUS P8P67 mobos for their build and I'd be interested in your findings.. I do find it strange they sent you the WS instead of the Deluxe, EVO, or Pro..

Should I even plug my SSD into the 6G sata on the new P67's?

Forgive me if this has already been addressed but after reading this older review it makes me think I should just plug my Intel SSD into the 3G sata when my new P67 arrives as it appears the MSI, Asus and Gigabyte boards are all using the slower Marvell 91XX controller for their 6G?
