Not sure why that looks so different. I took the screen shot, hit escape, changed settings, took another screen shot. Here's another comparison I took just now:

DLSS looks like someone smeared vaseline all over the screen. If you told me the game was using DLSS 1, I...
MOST of the time it works great. I can't think of ANY DLSS 2 titles where I prefer native. But this is BAD. Reminds me of when I stayed up late eagerly awaiting the BF5 DLSS patch the night it released, only to think "WTF IS THIS GARBAGE" when I enabled it.
The yellow crate here in this screen...
Game looks like ass with DLSS on, apparently due to forced variable rate shading:

Performance is a bit all over the map, but no issues otherwise.
I've played about an hour into DS1, DS3, and Bloodborne, but none of them enticed me to come back. The whole "lose over and over and over until you memorize the enemy movements and timing for when you can actually attack" is about as un-fun as it gets for me. And don't get me started on the ever...
1. God of War Ragnarok - Didn't quite live up to the 2018 reboot IMO, but was still by far the best/most polished release we saw in 2022.
2. Spider-Man Remastered/Miles Morales - Unfortunately purchased on PS5 right before the PC release dates were announced. But fantastically fun games with...
This cross-gen garbage is holding us back even worse than consoles ever have.
Also strange not seeing GoW Ragnarok up there. Similar to all the other console games on the list, it was carried HARD by its artwork.
Say an enemy is weak against poison. You whip out your crappy poison weapon and spam poison arrows or whatever until the status effect bar fills up. This feels like you're fighting a rhinoceros with a sling shot, but now they're 'status effected' and seem to take additional damage from all...
The first ~1 hour didn't really hook me when I finally got my PS5 earlier this year, but I finally made my way back to the game this week.
Now 14 hours in, I'm... pretty disappointed.
Horizon Zero Dawn (on PC) was by far one of my favorite games I played in 2020. At 60 hours played, nothing...
Played a couple hours so far. It's semi-funny and semi-fun to play. But if it wasn't on Gamepass, I certainly wouldn't be buying it. Maybe in the $10 price range it would worth picking up.
No HDR is a big letdown. AutoHDR doesn't work either for some reason.
Graphics aren't all that great...
Apparently the game still doesn't support 21:9, what an absolute joke.
3440x1400, ultra+ or whatever settings, RT enabled, and DLSS Quality pulls a whopping 30ish FPS on my 2080 Ti. Yet somehow looks far worse than other demanding RT titles that run better (Metro Exodus, Control, Watch Dogs...
Ghost of Tsushima (PS5 edition).
It's... somewhat above average I guess...
The worst part is the HDR implementation (or lack therefore of?). Dark scenes feel WAY too dark. But daytime scenes look correct. So adjusting the in-game brightness so that you can actually see anything in night scenes...
If there's a CP2077 expansion/DLC coming out next year, that's definitely #1.
RE4 remake.
Dead Space remake.
Returnal PC port (hopefully it's real).
I guess if The Last of Us finally makes its way to PC, I'll actually play it (third time buying it is a charm, right?).
That's pretty much it, in...
Deathloop
At $20 on sale, I finally decided to bite... tl;dr - this is possibly the worst game Arkane has ever made, aside from that Wolfenstein garbage they were associated with. Not to say it's BAD, but it's certainly no Dishonored.
Graphics... mediocre. The game runs like shit, even with...
Playing Spider Man Remastered on PS5. Need to get through this one before the PC version comes out so that I'm not tempted to buy it a third time before playing it. I'm about 2/3 through already and the game is phenomenal. The visual quality and peformance in RT Performance mode is simply...
I just received my copy of Miles Morales for PS5 YESTERDAY. And of course I already unwrapped it and registered the PSN code for Spider Man Remastered. Dammit!!!
I was unaware of an HDMI 2.1 version. The PG32UQX supports DSC, but not HDMI 2.1, so clearly there's a way for G-Sync to support DSC without this latest version you speak of.
Almost everyone hated Doom Eternal? That's news to me... it was very well received both critically and publicly from what I recall...
Personally, I think it is BY FAR the best (single player) first person shooter released in the past 20+ years. Doom 2016 was incredible when it came out, but...
When the screen flashes full white, yes I would like my monitor to make me squint.
I calibrate to 120 nits for SDR content. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but you brought it up.
The 32EP950 hits 700 nits? Says who? HDTVTest measured 551 nits on a 10% window. Maybe with a window the size of a gnat it can hit 700... but who cares about that? It's only rated for 250 nits on full screen white, which is the same as the AW3423DW... and the biggest downfall of OLED.
Of course...
No ultrawide support. Graphics are last gen (at best) but the performance is reportedly terrible. From Soft always has, and always will, treat PC users as second class citizens.
The Alienware QD-OLED has HDR as well... Low peak brightness, but also zero bloom.
To say either display is definitively "better" than the other is downright ridiculous. Both have many "features" that different people will have very polarizing opinions on.
