Sorry man, work has been very busy the last week.
So the machine seems to be working fine. Well
Chrome works. Gaming is another issue.
Now have to figure out the monitor issues.
While at 144hz in PUBG the monitor will randomly flicker. It turns black then goes back to the game. It happens in...
Sorry tried to remember the service they wanted you to cancel and then edit....
I tried it and didn't work or I screwed it up because I was rushing. Time for work.
I'll try it again tomorrow and post the outcome.
Ok.
Windows update finished a while ago. Chrome browser working fine prior to this.
I installed Asus Grid, and Realtek drivers thru it.
Restart.
Windows finishes update 1803, boots fine.
Chrome is broken.
"establishing secure connection" happens then "err timed out" happens.
Anyone have...
This is on the 2600? Or the 2600X?
This is the other RAM I have for this build.
I bought both Flare X and Ripjaws 5 in case the Ripjaws didn't work as some had reported.
There were no 2600x in stock at the time.
I've always been curious about overclocking but never have.
I think the other RAM set that I bought was G.Skill 3000.
This is what I have currently installed:
https://www.microcenter.com/product/506496/Flare_X_16GB_2_x_8GB_DDR4-3200_PC4-25600_CL14_Dual_Channel_Desktop_Memory_Kit
G.Skill Flare X 3200 "designed for AMD Ryzen platform".
Now only at 42%.
So I should just put both sticks of RAM in and run Aida64? Or one at at time?
Thanks again for all the help.
I agree that it was most likely the PSU. But just want to test the machines stability a little before giving it to my nephew.
Ok.
New power supply is in (Corsair RM 750X Gold). Others not in stock.
I only have 1 stick of RAM installed and was able to play 10 games of Solitaire over approximately 10 minutes. Last night after 2 or 3-ish minutes the PC would freeze.
I'm in the process of running the Windows Memory...
I have Seasonic in my machine. But they are not sold locally anymore.
The EVGA is available in store.
Yes. The HDD was not plugged into the MoBo. Only the SSD. I've made that mistake in the past as well.
Probably going to get one of each tomorrow and start over.
Plans are to swap PSU first. Hopefully this is the issue. If not then the MoBo gets replaced.
Might grab a video card just in case. Overkill?
! stick of RAM it ran for ten minutes and crashed. Blue screen said PC ran into problems and needs to restart. No error code give.
Something sounds like it is trying to spin but can't. Not sure what it is. HDD unplugged, no CD in DVD drive.
What should I use to measure temps?
Hello all.
I recently built a new PC for my nephew consisting of:
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid...
So I bought all the parts the other day. Went over budget by a few bucks.
Here is what I ended up with via my local MicroCenter:
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor $149.99
Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard $91.99
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V 16 GB (2...
So I'm a little confused with the monitors that were suggested. And the difference with the one he has already. (Other than size of course.)
His has 5ms response time, 1920x1080 @60htz.
I see one has 144Hz and 1 ms, some have FreeSync or are TN panels or IPS panels.
Could you put this group...
Hey all, I been using the rigs in my signature for a while now thanks to the help I got here.
It seems like it's time move on so I can play BF1. Still play WoW as well.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
