It is not preference, it is objective. Glossy is superior in every way, except when a lot of light is involved, than it is inferior in every way. It is just that black and white. The best compromise is an antireflective coating, good for everything, excellent in none. It is just all gray then.

Also have RTX2080 with C1. Use the USB-C adapter for HDMI 2.1. It does 4k 120Hz and 10bit. Only VRR doesn't work.

The thing that blew me away with 48" C1 is how almost 1:1 life sized everything looks, while you still have a large peripheral field of view without tunnel vision. With the perfect black it is the closest thing to virtual reality while still using a monitor.

Depends on the actual coating, but in my experience a reflective surface gives the better picture.

An underrated fact. I have been 4k gaming since years and still keep hearing how 4k isn't gaming ready yet if you don't have the latest best GPU.

After gaming on an 48" OLED, my 32" feels tiny, which felt giant after gaming on my old 27". Be very careful with upgrades, there is no way back. :D

It is the same question that I have. I was looking for a larger than 32" monitor, but all you get is ultrawide, which is basically 1440p with extra width. I needed a proper 4k 16:9 variant that is larger than 32", however. Didn't exist.

I decided not to keep the M32U. Good monitor, but I can no longer accept gaming and watching movies at a 1000:1 contrast ratio. As if like there is an oily film on the panel. Other than that, for general use and competitive gaming an excellent monitor.

I tried several games and mostly I get lower Hz. Sometimes 60-70, Doom'16 only 100, others 80. Only an old game got me close to 144Hz. If that is the norm, I wonder if 144Hz is even worth it, if it will not be actually reached most of the time. I run RTX 2080 and AMD 3700X.
