    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Hmmm the video is very compressed but to me it looks like a frame pase issue? Which in turn would be a adaptive/variable refresh rate issue if its happening with multiple games? On this thread somewhere, it has been mentioned before but please make sure you have g-sync enabled properly, (please...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

This actually might be based on the frame rate your getting in game. Dose it happen on all your games? what is your fps? do you have g-sync enabled and vysnc off (in game) ? Do you think it could be a pixel over shoot? what overdrive settings are you using on the screen?

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Just realised that the OSD Sidekick is also updated, i was using what ever version i had from months ago.... The firmware update required me to try 3 times, once failed and locked up my screen (display worked but was unresponsive to the remote and buttons) Windows then suggest running it in...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Hmmmm would be nice to know exactly but so far appears to just correctly label things inside windows. Also i don't understand why 12bit colour depth is selectable.... its a 10bit panel. Also as far as i am aware RGB colour format is superior to YCbCr444. So use RGB. I'll comment back if i see...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Just really had super close look and it is in fact there - so sorry its not completely gone. Your picture seems worse than what i am experiencing though, it's very hard to notice otherwise. Bellow is the worse setting (SDR - standard) and the worse location i could find for it. I only tested...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

This issue for me was fixed when i updated to F05 (from F04) a while back. Nothing changed with my setup and settings the firmware just appeared to fix it. Now running F06 and its still a non issue. Not sure what to suggest really.

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Sorry but not even going to test this for you, its bound to look horrible. If you want high fps don't look for 4k monitor and especially if you prioritise competitive high fps gaming don't get a 43" screen. Also the scaling can be done on the GPU - for example through the Nvidia control...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Thanks for highlighting They have actually provided some changelog this time! Just updated from F05 to F06 so will see if anything else is different and report back.

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

To my understanding this will be dependent on the application settings. For example if the application is in windowed/window borderless expect no transition. If it is full screen then there can be a transition - lengthened if the resolution, HDR is on/off or refresh rate is different to the...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Hmmmm well without seeing side by side i suppose it also could be a factor of user bias/preference or something as this is all being eyeballed. Do you think a photo would do it justice to show it here? Do make sure super res is set to 1 and in windows, hdr settings, sdr content brightness is...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Yes currently running win11 with hdr on. - screen picture mode set to "HDR1000" What I found (going back to when I originally had this screen on windows 10) was the desktop was super grey/washed out in reference mode - so I'd switch off "override to reference mode" then applied NVidia control...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Also Jickelsen in the NVidia control panel do you have the colour accuracy mode set to "reference" Something i noticed early on with this display is with windows poor hdr implementation i would have to toggle this on and off quite a lot to stop the desktop looking washed out. Not really re...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

What the hell, yeah with that colour behind the browser window, exactly the same. Horizontal bands stretching across from the black sections of the window. Actually any colour, most easy to see on greys. Not noticed this before however my use case is almost entirely gaming.

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

To everyone who is having trouble updating the firmware I have no suggestions. However i do highly recommend you run F05, the text clarity has hugely improved when at 100% windows desktop scaling. Also it fixes the volume. Not sure what else...... I'd suggest contacting gigabyte e-support...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

I believe the wrong scaling options can cause this? Have you checked these settings? Ensure the correct resolution and refresh rate is applied and aspect ration scaling is performed on the display. (picture bellow) HDMI caps you to 120hz? DP would be better for you. Also i have noticed...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Just a heads up for anyone updating to F05. May not be related but it was awkward to get variable refresh working again, had to disable it and enable it with Nvidia control panel and in the OSD of the screen a few times then it started working. Will report as on but was not actually on.

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

I don't use HDMI on this screen so cannot comment if F05 has broken it for me. Updated whilst on DP and no issues, update took about 10 mins. Seems like F05 has improved the volume? (don't often use the speakers but before they didn't have any change bellow volume 10 and where very loud) Not...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Dose anyone have a good source for information for really understanding how to setup HDR? When i say set up i mean getting the settings "right". Currently we have the 4 HDR profiles, some let only a bit of customisation, then windows through the Nvidia control panel has its own colour...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

So you cannot run the latest Nvidia drivers? sounds like a deeper issue may be at play here - Definitely software related. I'd follow the suggestions made by eyejoy above (as the driver you are on is only 2 months old and should still work) and also figure out why the latest Nvidia Game Read...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

My biggest dislike with the Fv43u is the overshoot, depending on the game i find it very noticeable even on the least aggressive overdrive setting. This i believe is a non-issue for OLEDs and in my opinion i'd sacrifice the 144hz and 1000nits for better clarity in motion. Basically i am keeping...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

I am running out of suggestions, Bring up the "OSD Sidekick" application and cycle the free sync option off then on. Might be difficult but it will be worth trying to pin point the issue to the screen or your computer. If possible get another PC connected via display port and see if that...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

lol well that puts me off updating my version from f04 beta to f04. Not sure what to suggest as obviously that resolution is impossibly high. What happens when you set it to 1920x1080 (1080p)? Have you power cycled the screen? Leave it unplugged for 10 seconds? And yes display port is...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

The windows store version is unlikely to be the fix or cause of this particular issue, in my opinion. It sounds like you have done everything correctly. If you bring up the windows advance display settings like in my previous post, what do you see? Dose it report it as "Aorus FV43U"or...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Not quite sure what you mean? Do you mean that after using DDU and after a reboot it auto installed Nvidia drivers through windows update? You then proceeded to update them to the latest version? Either way that should be fine. Silly question (i hope) but have you unplugged the displays...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Hmm ok sounds odd, Win 10 - Version 20H2 build 19042.1288 RTX3080ti with driver 496.49 FO4 Beta (old) I have noticed in the cropped image above that i cannot see section 2, this could suggest the screen is not being discovered correctly? Check if this is the same for you as well. If its not...

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

Hey guys, long time lurker but 1st post. I think you are missing one additional step to enable g sync. The photo above has it cropped out but you need to ensure the option in section 3 is ticked (seen bellow). Hope this is simple solution for you.
