The deal was posted late here. The promotion ended Aug 31 at midnight PST.

    FS: 2x ASUS R9 290X Matrix Platinum

Would this fit in an Ncase M1? I'd be interested but I don't think it fits.

    i7-i5 worth oc'ing?

If you want to do 144Hz with online gaming, you will likely need the fastest CPU you can get. For example, in Battlefield 3 online, there are many instances where you will not reach 120 FPS even with a 3930K overclocked. My i7-4770K at 4.5 GHz still struggles to maintain 100 FPS in 64 player...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So I contributed to the production campaign, but what does that mean if I also contributed to the early shipment list? Are they even cross-referencing the lists?

New New video card How much better will it be with 4GB of ram

I've used the reference 670 cooler, it's alright (not as loud as some previous gen fans). If you're going single card at 1080p, just find a 2GB card. 4GB is useful if you're going to SLI them for larger resolutions.

    best videocard under for $500

I would be honest, if you want bang for buck, the SLI option is definitely something to consider. As powruser said too, you're also going to want more than 2GB of VRAM. 2GB will get you by now but since you want it to be a long-term solution, 3 or 4GB is more desirable. If you're just...

    gtx 460 to 7790, 7850?

If he has both the 7790 and the 7850, pick the one with 2GB of VRAM. If they're both the same amount of VRAM, pick the 7850.

    Crossfire or single gpu

Either a 7970 or a 770 would be good choices right now. 760 or 7950 if you want to bleed less money. I would avoid Crossfire... it still has a lot of quirks, not to mention the microstutter if your frame-rates drop far below v-sync level. Basically with Crossfire, you have to maintain high...

    getting into bitcoining?

I have an issue with litecoining. I just started yesterday, using wemineltc, and the website has been reporting around 170 KH/s hashrate for the last 8 hours or so. I've only managed to make around .01 LTC per hour... seems very low. My batch script has cgminer.exe --scrypt --gpu-threads 2...

    Gtx 780 for 120hz

Depending on the game, your CPU will bottleneck you more than your GPU will. I'm still hitting 100% utilization on an i7-4770K at 4.6GHZ in BF3 online. Spend money on the CPU first, then worry about the GPU performance.

Fastest GPU that requires no 6pin.

Alternatively, there should be a free molex to 4-pin adapter with the video card, and I think you should be able to find a SATA to molex adapter somewhere too.

Fastest GPU that requires no 6pin.

I don't believe there's a GTX card without 6-pins.. however those GTX 650 Ti cards are rather light so you could pull a 6-pin from a 4-pin molex and still be fine on power.

    Shipping from US to Canada

Hey, I have someone who is looking to buy some of my stuff, however he's in Canada and I'm in the US. International postage is alright (more expensive than domestic but not by an extreme amount). However, what else do I need to know about shipping internationally (and making international...

i5-4670k combo deal at the Egg.

I personally like Gigabyte boards... more features to them. The fan ports on the motherboard can be configured to voltage-level fan control so you don't need to invest in a fan controller (unless you have a lot of fans). But I've never tried the Asrock E6... I have an Asrock E-ITX right now...

    Where to find anti-static bags?

Go to work, go to the IT department or the recycling department, ask if they have any there. If you're in school, look around in school. There's no reason to have to buy anti-static bags, they're so common nowadays.

Does this deserve a neutral or negative?

The 5 cents is just to generate a label. It could have gone just as easily without the 5 cent thing. If you haven't shipped anything out yet, and the buyer wants a refund, generally you just give them a refund. 5 days is a long time to pack something up and ship it out, especially after...

    MicroCenter, One CPU... For Life

I think if you paid cash and specifically requested not to give out personal info, I think they would have absolutely no way to track you. I gave my number before when I paid with my credit card so now it's linked in the system, I suppose. But they never gave me any issue buying at my store...

    getting into bitcoining?

Which means you needed to buy $4000 worth of equipment to make that kind of money. Right now the market is heading towards around $1-2/day profit per 7950/7970. It's going to be dropping as more ASICs are coming out. LTC value doesn't look great. It's still profitable, but unless value...
