Speaking of Maxwell, I just picked up a Quadro K2200 for under $80 on ebay. Specifically for the nvenc encoding with OBS.
Pretty much like a 750ti, but slower and with 4gb of vram.
There's a listing here on the forum for sale.
I ordered the 4500u version from Amazon with 16gb of RAM during 4th of July weekend listed at $599.
It's been great, the screen is definitely not color accurate, and I have been using it as a mobile streaming computer with OBS, with a single camera.
Besides the screen, it's been great.
1) I bought a key from the user new2019 a few months ago, which was my second one. The first one I bought in 2016 or so from him.
2) There is adapters that convert USB2 front panel connections to USB3 motherboard headers. Youll have USB2 speed out of those ports. Here is one on Amazon.
3) Check...
If you have 5.25 bay on your case, get a sata blue ray drive. Especially if you are going to be ripping all of your physical media into a NAS that runs plex.
I just ordered an AOC 24G2 for the regular price @ $179, sold by Amazon.com.
My alert from camelcamelcamel came in while I was looking at my phone, and when I added it to my cart, there was only 19 in stock, and that went down to 18 when I refreshed the page....
I looked this morning, and it...
I am using a Compaq MX 11800, made in Germany with Cherry Mx Brown switches. I think that would fit in your keyboard shelf. You might be able to fit a Cherry G80 11900 in there as well.
Here is one of the compaq boards on Ebay
I bought mine in 2014 for $30, and has been one of my favorite...
I set up a price alert on Camelcamelcamel for the AOC 24G2 that I want to get.
I am in need of a second monitor, since the 1440p 25in 60hz panel I have been using since 2014 is not great for FPS games.
A lot of LCD panel factories in Wuhan.... So what we have been buying up was probably existing inventory.
There are panel factories in other places like Korea, but all of the supply chains for components has been disrupted, and I am guessing the small factories that make components are also not...
I would send Noctua an email with your original receipt. I did that with my Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler that I got in 2014, with my amazon invoice, along with the invoice for my new Ryzen CPU and they sent me an AM4 mounting kit for free.
If you arent the original owner, then you could probably...
Check out this thread on overclock.net
In short, yes it will be good, more complicated, you may or may not benefit a little bit from lapping the cooler.
I use the NVENC encoder on a gtx 750ti, paired with a i5 4590s, in order to run OBS to stream to facebook live. Since it is a live camera stream with slides (church service), I was very surprised at the efficiency and quality of the stream.
In the previous weeks I was using my own personal SFF...
Endgame, no that ended in 2015.
Also Hawaiian Electric is irritating.
The Island of Kauai has an energy coop and is the only island not controlled by that monopoly, and they have 55% renewable power.
Whereas HECO still buys power from a plant that burns coal, then has the gall to say that they...
No you do not need to plug that in.
8 pin EPS connector can do 300+ watts on its own. No way you are going to pull that much power out of one connector unless you decide to go ln2 overclocking.
Anyone know why I cant run fio-status any more?
C:\Windows\system32>fio-status
Error initializing the SDK (2)
I get that error now.
I uninstalled the old driver for the 825GB and removed it from my system, and reinstalled the dell sx350 driver, and still no joy.
It started doing this last...
It's an ioscale2 drive.
I think the drivers may be incompatible, but if that's the case any idea how I would check the status of the need arises?
Right now I'm just stoked it works.
I have a weird issue.
I got a 3.2TB SX350 installed in my system along with my 825GB.
Once I installed the driver for the 3.2, I no longer can see the 825 when I do the fio-status -a command.
Both drive function perfectly fine in my system though.
Also the 3200G/3400G are the same micro architecture (Zen+) as the 1600AF, so it really is an apples to apples comparison between the 2. Especially with the ECC support, the iGPU isnt really benefiting you in this case.
I honestly think the APU solutions are really suited for systems like the...
If you are really worried about it, you can just get a heatsink for the drive.
The benefits also include lower latency, and my favorite one, no cables!
FaRKle0079, thank you for your Youtube video, it helped a lot and was super clear.
Bro, here are the benchmarks for the Fusion-IO ioScale2 825GB.
I am running a Ryzen 1600 w/8gb 2400mhz on an Asus Prime X470-Pro motherboard.
The SSD is on the bottom slot that is physical 16x but is...
Asus has their own software to control fan speed on the motherboard. If you have AI Suite 3 installed on the computer, and when you open it up, you can go into Fan Xpert 4 and control each fan header on the motherboard.
If you dont have it installed on your computer, go ahead and download and...
