Nvidia RTX 4090 power connectors melting?

I'm sure the loads you work with are more constant than what happens in the RC world. They also don't move. I have a 1/10 3s buggy myself and can attest to the hundreds of amps and harsh environments these connectors can handle and also haven't had one fail or deteriorate to warrant replacing...

Nvidia RTX 4090 power connectors melting?

Oh they are plenty flexible if the individual wire strands are thinner in the wires, but would require a few changes for PSU manufacturers. Or keep the same 18awg wires but combine them all at the connector lol. (Jk) Seriously though, other people have already done the hard work of designing...

Nvidia RTX 4090 power connectors melting?

I agree they can make something better, although plugging in 4 connectors is hardly an inconvenience compared to the alternative... Take for instance the RC hobby world. The XT60 connectors are VERY robust and can handle much more than 30 connection cycles and are pretty small relative to their...

Nvidia RTX 4090 power connectors melting?

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/10/nvidia-is-investigating-reports-of-melting-geforce-rtx-4090-power-connectors/ Looks like the new connector has some very low tolerances and low safety margin if true. Also, Kyle confirmed that RDNA3 will NOT be using the new connector...

Intel Core i9-13900K has been overclocked to 8812.85 MHz, beats 8-year-old frequency world record

LOL They are feeding that thing all the power it could ever want. Intel's process node can handle some serious power draw. We just need cooling solutions to make some progress. Let go back to Direct Die!

Join us on November 3rd as we unveil AMD RDNA™ 3 to the world!

This makes sense as to why no one else has chiplet CPUs or GPUs. If TSMC was selling chiplet fabbing options, why wouldn't others be jumping on it since its obviously cheaper to produce chiplet based CPUs with how great the yields are...

Join us on November 3rd as we unveil AMD RDNA™ 3 to the world!

Well no surprise that DLSS runs better than FSR on your NVidia GPU. Just like FSR runs better on RDNA 2 than RDNA1 and Nvidia cards. Also, you should check your own posts... Back on topic, I hope AMD doesn't waste resources on frame generation tech like DLSS 3. To me that just seems like a...

You forgot you said "Lies" when talking about his game library... FSR 1.0 yes FSR 2.1 Have you even seen in-depth comparisons??? In general upscaling tech is detrimental to gameplay graphics and I hate using it I agree with you on NVENC but I don't have a use for it.

People act like FSR2 doesn't exist. I myself am still on a RX 5700 and it can handle my UE5 projects that use Lumen fine at 1080p. Although Lumen can be accelerated by DXR hardware which I don't have. I even have room for a 20% overclock using mpt and haven't really needed it yet

For AMD to be "on par" it has to be at least 5% faster in every game and no losses while being cheaper.... Kidding aside, the only part where the 6000 series struggles is if you turn on RT, and don't have FSR to help you. If you don't play anything with ray tracing, then you're good!

Nvidia has "Unlaunched" the RTX 4080 12GB

AMD's RX 7900 XT cards allegedly support unannounced DisplayPort 2.1 connectors

Did some more digging, I'm pretty sure Techpowerup's chart is very misleading because they say they use CP2077 @1440p with no ray tracing for the "gaming power consumption" test. I'm pretty sure it's CPU bottlenecked at that point because it goes from being ~30% faster than the 2nd fastest card...

Uh, what it the 3090Ti's power usage again??? Oh yeah... 450w, and some AIBs are 500w stock. And 4090 stock is 450w (very close to 500w avg in furmark)

    5800X3D gaming review

Now I'm curious to see other "unoptimized" games to see how they perform with a 5800X3D. Like ARK, BeamNG with AI, PUBG, NoMan'sSky, Rust, etc. I bet MMOs like Warframe (the open world maps) get massive uplifts too. Does anyone have any benchmarks of games like that yet??? I can't find any...

Ryzen 7 5800X3D Beats Core i9-12900KS By 16% In Shadow of the Tomb Raider

I thought the whole point of the 12900ks is to have the highest performance gaming CPU. Now that the 5800X3D beats it (at least in one game), now its useless? The whole point of the benchmark is to see which CPU "allows" higher performance in a particular game engine. YES, its not as applicable...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070: up to 30% faster than RTX 3090 in gaming

yep, ceiling fans work very well.... We have a small "tri-level" house and purposefully put the computer area in the "basement" since it will always be the coldest part of the house, except when gaming lol. It easily gets hotter than the upstairs area (hottest part of the house).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070: up to 30% faster than RTX 3090 in gaming

you forgot to add AC cooling to compensate for that 500w of heat. Running our central HVAC to compensate for that one room (more...

Google replaced the White Noise on Nest speakers so people can't sleep

New challenge: Sleep with TV on, volume up, Lights on, kids screaming, no blankets, no pillow, on floor, all night for a week. If you think that's too easy then sleep outside on the ground naked, then you can say you truly need nothing to sleep. Anything less than this is weakness!!!

I like camping (in low humidity or coldish environments). I can sleep just fine without a fan, it just helps more with drowning out baby cries till they go to sleep and the airflow feels good. Not really a dependency for me. Sleeping in pitch black rooms with no windows or basements are some of...

its a pretty weak patent though. There are already opensource alternatives (for personal use): https://github.com/geekuillaume/soundsync Probably could use HomeAssistant too. I just got started on that because of this.
